<pre>Descendents of ALEXANDER and ROSE ETTA SWAPP hold their family reunions (the "Swapp Meet") each year near the end of June in the mountains of Utah or California. The 1997 reunion at Duck Creek, Utah was a great success. Attendance was down somewhat because our family was also responsible for hosting the much larger Hatch Reunion at Tropic Reservoir, but many attended both reunions, including Doris Earl and family (the hosts) , Wylie Swapp and his daughter Madeline's family, Maureen Huntsman, Glen and Naureen Swapp, and other stalwarts. The 1998 reunion was also held at Duck Creek and was a wonderful time for all.</pre>

<pre>The 1999 Swapp Family Reunion took us wandering home to our roots in the Moapa Valley of Southern Nevada. It was held April 30th through May 2nd at the group campground at the Valley of Fire State Park, not far from Overton. Our activities included a historical tour through Overton, and even Wylie from Hawaii was in attendance at the 1999 reunion, which was held a little earlier and a little lower than traditionally.</pre>
