This Protoss has the shortened
nerve endings of the dark templar. His eyes are bright orange, and he is
largely covered by a dull brown cloak.
Description
Like all of his brethren, Zeratul was banished from the Protoss
Homeworld long ago for refusing to submit his ego to the communal glory of
the Khala. Because of this, Zeratul harbors a deep-seeded hatred for the
Protoss Conclave and the Judicator caste who were responsible for his
wrongful exile. Zeratul is proud and noble, but has a constant aura of
tragedy and darkness about him. Although he is secretive and calculating,
Zeratul is extremely honorable and would gladly risk everything to defend
his people and their ancient traditions.
Since the fall of Aiur and the death of his pupil, Tassadar,
Zeratul has labored to unite the Templar and the Dark Templar into a cohesive
society, constantly working to rebuild the trust between his people and
the Protoss of Aiur.
Combat
Zeratul is a fearsome assassin, using his stealth and the
devastating power of his attacks to move in unnoticed, then slay his enemies
before they have a chance to react.

Severed Link: Zeratul has ceremoniously cut off the
ends of the nerve appendages on the back of his head. This removed his
telepathy ability, and imposes a -4 circumstance penalty to Charisma-based
checks when dealing with non-dark templar Protoss.
Void Blade: When wielding a psi-blade on one arm
(and nothing on the other), Zeratul may apply his Intelligence, Wisdom, and
Charisma bonuses to his damage rolls with that weapon.
