In a memorable episode from the first, black and white season of I Dream of Jeannie, Billy Mumy (Lost in Space) guest stars as young Custer Jamison. Custer, a son of a major at NASA, "worships the ground Captain Nelson lifts off from."

One day, while visiting Captain Nelson, Custer sees Tony and Jeannie floating on the back patio. Custer rushes home and tells his parents, who don't believe a word he says. Major Jamison decides to take Custer into NASA the next day so Dr. Bellows can have a talk with him.

When asked by Major Jamison, Dr. Bellows doesn't care to talk with Custer. However, when Major Jamison tells the Doctor that Tony Nelson is involved, Dr. Bellows jumps at the chance. He talks with Custer, and tells him to report anything strange he sees at Captain Nelson's to him.

That evening, Tony is teaching Jeannie the "modern" dances. Custer, watching at the window, sees Jeannie disappear all of the sudden! Up walks Dr. Bellows. The Doctor sees Custer spying at the window, and promptly joins him.

Luckily, a police officer spots the two spying in Tony's window, and brings the two "peeping Toms" up to Tony's front door. Tony tells the police officer it's ok, that he knows the two. He also adds that he's shocked at their behavior.

Dr. Bellows and Custer come into the house, looking for any strange happenings. While Dr. Bellow's back is turned, Jeannie makes Tony float in the air again, only making Custer's accusations look more and more ridiculous. Dr. Bellows decides it would be best to have Custer's eyes checked.

The next day, Tony sees Custer spying on him wherever he turns. When he tells his problem to Jeannie, she suggests that she turn him into something. Tony rejects that idea quickly.

The problems worsen the next day when Custer turns up missing. Tony accuses Jeannie of turning him into something against his wishes. Jeannie, horrified at his accusations, decides to search for another planet to find a new master.

When Tony goes over to the Jamison's house and finds Custer went to the Circus for the day, he realizes the mistake he's made. Tony runs home to remedy his mistake. The episode ends as Jeannie and Tony practice the "modern custom of kiss and make up."
