BASIC KNOWLEDGE

Where do I start? The show is about two cousins - Bo and Luke Duke, and they live with their Uncle Jesse and other cousin, daisy, in a county named Hazzard, somewhere in Georgia. Now Bo and Luke have a car named the General Lee. Supposedly, the General is a 69 dodge charger, painted hemi orange with a O1 painted on the door and a confederate flag on the roof. It has a tan interior and should have a 440 under the hood. It sports a grille guard and a roll bar. It has an automatic transmission and a floor shift. Whether or not it has marker lights or air conditioning depends on the episode. Oh yeah, and don't forget the 10 spoke aluminum rims and the dixie horn. Now, the dukes used to run moonshine, but when the boys got caught Jesse made a deal with the government to let it slide and to put them on probation if they agreed to stop making shine. Now, the plots are generated from the corrupt boss of Hazzard - J.D. Hogg and his sheriff, Rosco. They get into a lot of trouble and then blame the dukes so the dukes have to get them out of trouble or go to jail.

Lucas K. "Luke" Duke [Tom Wopat]
Luke is the dark haired one. He didn't drive the general much but usually figured out all the plans while Bo was busy driving. Luke was in the marines for a while and decided to come back to the farm. .

Beaureguard "Bo" Duke [John Schneider]
Bo is the blonde. He's the one who's always yelling "yeehaw!" and talking to the girls. If you get mixed up, whichever one elbows somebody in the stomach when there's a fight sequence is most likely Bo.

Daisy Duke [Catherine Bach]
Daisy was the third reoccuring cousin. Notice I said "reoccuring." It seems as though there are endless duke cousins around that show up for one show and dissappear. And, everybody in the Duke family is a cousin and all the parents are long dead. Oh well. Daisy can be seen driving a roadrunner in earlier episodes, then she got a jeep. She works at the Boars Nest, Boss Hogg's bar.

Jesse Duke, AKA "Uncle Jesse" [Denver Pyle]
Bo and Luke's and Daisy's and anybody-else-who-was-an-extra's uncle. He tries as best he can to keep Bo and Luke in line and carries around a rifle alot. He drives the white ford pickup that gets scummier each season. (Watch the episode with Dewey Hogg to see the tail gate fly off!)

Jefferson Davis Hogg, AKA "Boss Hogg" [Sorrell Book]
Boss is the boss of Hazzard. He's corrupt as the day is long. He owns the sheriff, and spends most of his time eating and scamming people. He owns most of the town and drives a 1970 cadillac convertible with big steer horns on the hood.

Rosco P. Coltrane [James Best]
Rosco's the sheriff of Hazzard. He's the old guy that can't drive. If you get confused, he makes alot of strange noises, which makes it easier to pick him out.

Enos Straitt [Sonny Shroyer]
Enos is a deputy in Hazzard. He's there in the beginning, then he goes away, and then he comes back again. The only honest guy in the courthouse, Enos usually tips off the dukes when trouble's cooking.

Cooter Davenport [Ben Jones]
The town mechanic. Cooter started out as just a local nut job and then got a garage. He does his best to help out the dukes, usually driving a tow truck.
