Enda is spotted panning for gold in the river and Liam and Donal figure it is a good line to spin the tourists as a way to make their fortune. Enda is still chasing Assumpta but he keeps coming up against a brick wall. Brendan is `transferred' from the school and the village comes out in support of him. The protest outside Fr. Mac's house is led by Assumpta who tells Peter that he has to decide which side he is on. She is pleased when he turns up to join in but it results in him getting a bollocking. Niamh drags Ambrose out of Fitzgerald's at every opportunity because they are trying for a baby. Much to the delight and amusement of the village, they finally succeed.
