Niamh is feeling down after the loss of the baby and she
takes it out on Ambrose, who is feeling left out. Niamh
is also upset when Brian hires a housekeeper who turns
out to be Satan's bride! Assumpta is struggling to keep
on top of things in the bar as her help has gone sick.
Peter lends a hand but there is more to her mood than
just work. She is finding it hard to cope under the strain
of pining for the unattainable and, although she can't tell
him what is really bothering her, she feels the need to talk
to Peter. So, when he stays behind after closing to help
her out, she opens a bottle and they settle down for a
chat. However, just as she starts to open up to him, he
cuts her short and leaves. The next day, he goes in to see
her, offering his services and she tells him that he really
hurt her by walking out and that she needed to talk to him.
She wants to know why he is there for everyone else and not
for her and she throws him out of her bar until he decides
where his priorities lie. Peter is confused - he doesn't
realise why she has reacted so strongly.
