Niamh is about to have her baby and finds that Ambrose
is no help at all - he is too busy fainting at the ante
natal classes. The situation worsens when his mother
turns up with the intention of helping Niamh with the
birth. Liam and Donal buy a chipper van from Padraig and
set it up outside the church, much to Peter's dismay. His
mood does not improve when a supposed miracle is spotted
at the church. The Child of Prague statue is *sweating*,
resulting in the entire population of Ireland descending
on BallyK. Although Fr Mac is willing to make the most of
it, Peter is more concerned by the fact that everyone in
the village stands to gain from the influx of tourists and
even finds himself suspecting Assumpta - the bar has been
heaving. He tells Assumpta that he doesn't believe in these
kind of miracles and she responds with a statement that
deeply upsets him. She reminds him that he claims to
perform greater miracles on the altar on a daily basis.
Peter walks out on her and she realises that she has gone
too far and undermined his vocation. When she tries to
apologise, she is disturbed to find that he is agreeing
with her. He doesn't know what he believes in any more,
but it seems that the young priest is having serious
problems with his faith.
