Niamh is struggling to run the pub in Assumpta's absence as well as coping with Kieran. Ambrose is no help and when they decide to take Brian up on his offer of paying for a nanny, he tells them his money is all tied up in this Korean business deal. He has invested every penny he has in this deal and he now has to convince the Koreans to choose his site. However, despite every effort on his part, they reject his proposal and he loses everything. Meanwhile, Imelda Egan is causing trouble by criticising Niamh's efforts with the baby.
