At long last, I have some more pics to add. This kit is a 1/72 scale Bandai Super VF-1J, obviously done in Max Sterling trim. The detail is nice (there's actually some cockpit detail on these) and of course the size is really cool, but I was a bit disappointed in the poor design & scaling of the kit. The booster packs are much too small, the nose has too much of an arc to it, and most obvious of all, the model just plain sits up too high. I know the veritechs sit higher with super armor on them, but they should've compensated at least a little bit. The good news is that the kits come with extra parts, so you can build the kit in guardian mode. You also have the option to build the kit without the leg armor, but it wouldn't look right with the booster packs ( there are no separate tail fins included).
More kits are on the way...I have another non transforming super veritech, a VF-1S model, as well as 3 of the transforming 1/72 scale Bandai kits and a gaggle of smaller ones. Stay tuned!
