Capt. Thomas "CAG" Boone
Terry O'Quinn
Admiral Thomas "CAG" Boone, known to most as just "The CAG", was Harm Sr.'s best friend and
his wingman on the day he was shot down over Vietnam.
The CAG appeared in the pilot episode as the CAG of the Seahawk. He shows up again in the first season episode "Defensive Action" when Harm and Meg must defend him during a court-martial. He was accused of shooting down a helicopter over Bosnia, violating the cease-fire agreement. The CAG showed up in the second season when he was accused of grounding a pilot because she was a woman. (Crossing the Line). He insisted she was incompetent. He was proven correct when the pilot was allowed to fly and crashed her plane.
The CAG returns in the sixth season as Admiral Boone (A Separate Peace Part 1). The CAG is about to be nominated to become the Chief of Naval Operations, but an anonymous call accuses him of war crimes in Vietnam. The caller claimed that he killed an innocent woman and participated in the massacre of innocent civilians. The CAG is unwilling to defend himself and a court-martial is convened. In the course of the case, it is discovered that the CAG did kill the woman, but she was reaching for a gun at the time. The reason the CAG was so opposed to telling the story is that he objected to the massacre, but the officer in charge ignored him. When he saw that innocent people were being murdered, the CAG shot the officer to stop it. The CAG believed that he had killed a fellow American soldier during the war and did not want to admit it. It turns out that the CAG had shot the man, but he was not dead. The CAG was cleared of all wrong-doing, but decided to retire from the Navy. He said that it was a young man’s Navy now and he felt out of place.
CAG stands for Commander of Air Group.

Mic Brumby
Trevor Goddard
Lt. Cmdr. Mic Brumby first appeared in the fourth season episode "Mr. Rabb Goes to Washington".
Brumby was part of an exchange program from the Australian Navy. He has a little crush on Mac. He asks Mac out to dinner (Yeah, Baby) but she has to decline because Chloe is staying with her. He also shows up in the fourth season episodes " People v. Mac", "The Black Jet", "Dungaree Justice", "War Stories", "Wilderness of Mirrors", "Soul Searching, "Yeah Baby" and "Goodbyes , mostly working with or against Harm. One of Harm's main problems with leaving JAG was that Brumby would take his place.
We really don't know much about Brumby's personal life. In the fifth season he shows up in the episodes "King of the Greenie Board", "Rules of Engagement", "The Return", "Front and Center", "Rogue" and "The Colonel's Wife". In his search for suspects, Harm accuses Brumby of writing the editorial critical of the President in the episode "Contemptuous Words" (he didn't). He also appears in the episode "Mishap".
We learn in the episode "Ghost of Christmas Past" that he looks amazingly like the CAG who served with Harm's father (This is because Trevor Goddard played both roles).
Brumby leaves to go back to Australia because his exchange program with the US Navy is finished (Life or Death). Harm, Mac and Bud go to Australia to help Brumby with a case involving an American Naval Officer (Boomerang Part 1 & 2).
While there, passions are ignited. Brumby asks Mac to marry him. She says that she will think about it and agrees to wear his ring on her right hand (Boomerang Part 1 & 2). In a heated debate over the case, among other things, Harm and Brumby come to blows. Unfortunately, they miss each other and hit Bud instead, breaking his jaw. Chegwidden then makes the go into a room alone and “settle” their differences.
For most of the rest of the fifth season, Brumby is seen via phone calls with Mac (Drop Zone, The Witches of Gulfport, Real Deal Seal). At the end of the season, Brumby shows u p in Washington and tell Mac that he has resigned his commission so he “can be close to the woman he loves” (Surface Warfare).
In the sixth season, we see that Brumby has taken a job with a civilian law firm and is spending more time with Mac (Legacy Part 1 & 2, Florida Straits, Flight Risk, The Princess and the Petty Officer). Brumby leaves his law firm after he refuses to defend Harriet’s doctor in his trial (Family Secrets). This leaves Brumby in a state of limbo. He considers returning to the Australian navy, but changes his mind when Mac finally accepts his proposal (Family Secrets).

Lt. Cmdr. Teresa Coulter
Trisha Yearwood
Lt. Cmdr. Teresa Coulter first appeared in the third season episode "The Return of Jimmy Blackhorse".
She was brought in to determine if the remains found were that of Jimmy Blackhorse. She is a forensic pathologist. Harm called her in on the case of the murdered child in "Nobody's Child". She helped Harm find Dar-lin and protect her from Charlie. She also appeared in the episode "Shakedown" to check on Dar-lin.
We know very little about Teresa. In her first appearance we see that she believes that her father killed her mother and he is in jail for that crime. Harm later unknowingly takes her father’s appeal (Body Talk) and defends him at his new trial. During this trial it is revealed that he did beat her mother, but he did not kill her. Her mother killed herself.
During this episode (Body Talk) we also find out that Teresa was married to a man that did not get a long with her mother, but they are divorced.
Teresa also has a great singing voice.

Gunny Victor Galindez
Randy Vasquez
Gunny Galindez first appeared in the fifth season episode "King of the Greenie Board" as Mac's star witness in a trial. When he testifies that the company he is about to go to work for is producing defective and dangerous weapons, he is in need of a new job. Mac gets Chegwidden to offer him the job of office manager of the JAG officer (King of the Greenie Board). He, Bud and Tiner get into a race to see who will get the Admiral the concert tickets he needs in the episode "True Calling" (he wins). He has also appeared in the fifth season episodes "The Return", "Psychic Warrior", "Rogue", "The Colonel's Wife", "Contemptuous Words" and "Mishap".

Questions about Gunny’s actions are raised when he is involved in an altercation, that Tiner was also involved in, outside of a “gay” bar (People vs. Gunny). It turns out that the man Tiner was with was his half-brother, Edward, and that Gunny was not gay-bashing, but his friend Manny, who placed calls claiming Tiner was gay, had other intentions. Tiner and Gunny were able to forgive each other and come to terms over the incident.
Gunny also appeared in the fifth season episodes “Life or Death,” “Boomerang (Part 1),” “Promises,” “Drop Zone,” “Overdue and Presumed Lost,” “Body Talk” and “Surface Warfare.”
