Lt. Elizabeth "Skates" Hawkes
Sibel Ergener
Skates first appeared in the second season episode “Crossing the Line.” She is a friend of Harm’s and survived the crash of the jet she was the RIO [Radar Intercept Officer] in during this episode.
Skates appeared next in the fifth season episode “King of the Greenie Board.” She is Harm’s RIO on the USS Patrick Henry, the ship Harm was on when he returned to flight duty. Skates also appears in the episode “True Callings” when Harm decides to return to JAG.
After Harm returns to JAG, he defends Skates when she is charged with dereliction of duty when a plane crashes into the ship while she was the Landing Signal Officer. Skates is found innocent of the charge.
We know very little about Skates’s personal life except for the fact that she is Harm’s friend and that she looks a great deal like Dixie, a USO dancer that performed on Harm Sr.’s ship (Ghosts of Christmas Past) [This is because Sibel Ergener played both roles ]

Renee Peterson
Cindy Ambuehl
Renee Peterson first appears in the fifth season episode “Into the Breech.” She is a director who is hired to shoot a recruitment commercial for the Navy. Frustrated by the “boring” jobs she finds, she settles on Harm to star in her commercial (Life or Death). Renee is also on the hijacked plane in “The Bridge at Kang So Ri” and tapes the “trial” in the air.
Renee’s soft side shows when she arranges for a pregnant Harriet to wear a dress Madonna wore in a video to the Surface Warfare Ball (Surface Warfare).
During this time, Renee and Harm start a relationship. Renee felt that Harm humiliated her in court when her recruitment video and her testimony was used in one of his cases to try prove that the Navy only sells an exciting image, not a realistic one in its commercials (Promises). The relationship turned serious, with Renee spending Christmas with Harm (Family Secrets) and meeting his mother.
Renee also appeared in the fifth season episodes “People v. Gunny,” “Drop Zone,” and “Overdue & Presumed Lost.” She also appeared in the sixth season episodes “Legacy (Part 1),” “Florida Straits," “Flight Risk,” and "Touch and Go."

Her ultimate goal is “to be the first female Judge Advocate General of the United States.” In the episode “Drop Zone” a mysterious file finds its way into Mac’s car and compromises her case. Lt.
