Cousins Bo, Luke, and Daisy Duke
		A Hazzard County Love Story

	It was a typical day in Hazzard County Bo and Luke were heading into town to get some supplies, when they ran into one of Rosco's speed  traps.   "Dang it Rosco" Bo said as he looked  into the rear view mirror   "Well we ain't got time to waste on him, lose him cousin" Luke said   "No problem. Bye bye Rosco" Bo said   They jumped over Hazzard Creek, and Rosco landed in the middle of the creek. Bo  stopped a little way down the road to be sure that Rosco was okay. They saw  him climb out  of the patrol car window.   "Looks like he's okay" Bo said   "Nothing hurting but his pride, now lets get going" Luke said laughing   The boys were heading on into town when they saw a red sedan broke down along Cottontail road.   "Looks like someone's got car trouble" Bo said   "Well pull it over, we'll see if we can help" Luke said   The  boys stopped and got out and went around to the front of the other car.   "Looks like you've got some car trouble" Bo said  " Yeah, my car just up and died" Susan said   "Just up and died did it?" Bo said with a laugh   "Yeah going along fine then stalled right out" Susan said "By the way my name's Susan Timmen"  "Hey I'm Bo and this here's my cousin Luke" Bo said and motioned at Luke"Well have this car fixed for ya in no time" he added then went over to help Luke look for the problem.  "Thank you ever so much. I don't know what I would have done if you two hadn't stopped"Susan said smiling  Luke was looking at the engine "Well it looks like your  carburetor float value has locked up  we'll give Cooter a call and he can haul your car off to the garage  and have it fixed for you in no  time"  "Yeah we've just got a few things to get in town, and then while you wait for Cooter to fix your car you can join us for dinner back at the farm"Bo said  "That sounds fine to me"Susan said   So then Bo helped Susan into the General, then slid in himself. Luke called Cooter to come get Susan's car.   "So how long you gonna be in Hazzard for?"Bo asked  "A couple of weeks" Susan replied   When they got back to the farm  Bo introduced Susan to Uncle Jesse and Daisy. Then the boys realized they forgot to get a couple of things.   "I'll go get them." Luke said   Luke goes off back into town and everyone else stays and is talking, then Uncle Jesse and Daisy went into the kitchen to start dinner, so it was just Bo and Susan sitting around talking. Susan could feel herself falling in love with Bo's charm. Bo could feel himself falling for Susan as they talked staring into her emerald green eyes, watching her twirl her long brown hair around her finger.   Meanwhile, while Luke was in town at the general store he over heard a conversation:  "Yeah well I know it was my wife that stole it, and we traced her as far as here so she's got to be somewhere in town, so we'll just have to find her and convince her to give it back"Peter said  "Yeah but what if Susan refuses to give it back?"Frankie asked him  "Well we'll just have to change her mind" Peter responded  As Luke went back out to the General he thought about what he'd heard. He thought that they might have been talking about Susan, since she just came into town and had the same name. Though it could just be a coincidence,  he had very strong suspicions that it was her. He wonder what it was that was stolen, and worried about her being back at the farm with everyone, and that Bo seemed to be falling for her but thought he wouldn't say anything about what he heard because he wasn't sure if it was her they were talking about. Luke got back to the farm, and Cooter came for dinner.   "Just in time for dinner" Daisy said   "Well there's Luke back" Bo said getting up   "Yeah" Susan said actually feeling a little disappointed 'cause she didn't want to stop sitting there talking to Bo, she felt she could stare into Bo's deep sapphire blue eyes forever. They ate dinner and later on Cooter gave Susan a ride back into town since he was going there anyway. When the boys were going to bed and started talking about Susan.  "What do you think about Susan?" Luke asked   "She's great" Bo said trying to hide the fact he thought he was falling in love with her.   Luke saw through it easily. This was what he was afraid of.  The next day they were in town and met Susan. Luke was putting gas into the General, when Susan stopped to talk to Bo.   "Bo, can I talk to you?" Susan asked  "Sure" Bo said  They went away from the General to talk.   "Bo, yesterday when we met, well, I think I feel in love with you" Susan said  Bo smiled and ran the back of his fingers along her cheek  "I've heard about love at first sight. I'd never thought it would happen to me." Susan said  "Me, either" Bo said  then they kiss.   Luke looked over and saw them. His suspicions of Susan and anger at the possibility that she was using Bo welled up in him, but he tried to suppress them. So then Bo and Susan went back over to the General.   "Well now what's going on with you two?" Luke asked, as if he needed to.  "Well we discovered feelings for each other the other day, love at first sight. Like a fairy tale, a princess finding her prince" Susan says staring into Bo's eyes   "Or the other way around" Bo said smiling at Susan   Luke could tell that Bo had totally fallen for Susan, and didn't want to upset him, at least until he was sure about Susan   "That's good to hear" Luke said giving a fake smile   "Well Cooter has Susan's car fixed so I'm going to show her around, tell Uncle Jesse we'll be there for dinner" Bo said   "Yeah, you two take it easy" Luke said  "See ya later cousin" Bo said  So then Luke went back to the farm.  "Where's Bo?" Uncle Jesse asked  "He's showing Susan around town"Luke said  "Why didn't you go with them?"Uncle Jesse asked  "Cause they think they've fallen in love"Luke said  "Really?" Daisy asked  "Yeah" Luke said   "That's wonderful" Daisy said then took the laundry into the house.   "Yeah. Just wonderful" Luke mumbled under his breath   Uncle Jesse was going to ask Luke what was wrong, but by then Luke had stalked into the house letting the screen door slam behind him. Uncle Jesse shook his head then headed back out into the field to work. Luke was quiet during dinner, trying not to look at Bo or Susan.  Mostly he just ended up staring at his plate.  After dinner they just sat around talking.  Uncle Jesse and Daisy could tell by the look in Bo's eyes that he had fallen hard Susan. Bo walked Susan out to her car, after they had eaten dessert. Daisy was helping Uncle Jesse do the dishes, and she peeked out the small window above the sink.   "I don't think I've ever seen Bo fall so much for any girl. He's just so in love with Susan" Daisy said   "No, neither can I" Uncle Jesse said  "He just seems so happy now, with Susan"  Daisy said cheerfully  Luke felt they were right. He felt that he could not say anything or Bo would get hurt, and he did not want to hurt Bo. He felt if he did everyone would blame him for being so inconsiderate and jumping to conclusions. The next day Bo went into town to meet Susan.  "I've got a couple of things to take care of in Cedar City. You want to come?" Susan asked  "Sure. But tell you what, let's take the General he'll get us there a lot quicker" Bo said  "Yes, an especially since you're driving" Susan said  "Well I am one of the fastest drivers around these parts" Bo said with a laugh  While they were driving out to Cedar City  on Willow Creek Road  tire blew out.  "Dang it, and I was the one telling ya how the General would get us there quicker" Bo said  "That's quite okay, I really don't mind being stranded along a road with you" Susan said smiling  "Well I'd better get out and change it, cause it ain't going to change itself" Bo said climbing out of the General. Once Bo was around to the back of the General, Susan took a small black box out of her purse and slide it under the front seat of the General and then climbed out of the General and went around to Bo.  "Anything I can do to help?" Susan asked  "No, I got it" Bo said  Then when Bo was finished his bangs had fallen into his eyes. Susan walked over to him and brushed them back out of his eyes, he placed his arms around her hips and then the kissed.  "All that for fixing a  blown out tire, girl, if I had enough spares I think I'd try to blow out the other tires" Bo said and laughed  "Oh Bo" Susan says giving Bo a quick kiss   "Tell you what, once you get done what you have to, why don't we spend the day in Cedar City? We can have lunch in the park by Cedar Lake, and I know this great little restaurant there, nothing fancy but the food is great" Bo said  "And in between?" Susan asked  "Well they got boats you can take out on the lake, or we can do whatever your heart desires" Bo said  "You certainly know how to sweet talk a girl, don't you" Susan said  Bo just laughed.  While Susan is taking care of her business at one place Bo called Uncle Jesse to say he won't be home till late. At the farm the phone rings, and Uncle Jesse grabbed it on the second ring.  "Hello" Uncle Jesse said  "Hey, Uncle Jesse" Bo said  "Bo, where you at?" Uncle Jesse asked  "Susan had things to do in Cedar City, so we are just going to spend the day here, so I won't be home till late" Bo said  "Well you take it easy" Uncle Jesse said  "Yes sir Uncle Jesse, bye now" Bo said  Uncle Jesse hung up the phone.  "Who was that" Daisy asked as she came in with the laundry.  "Just Bo calling saying he and Susan are in Cedar City and he  won't be home till late" Uncle Jesse said  Luke who was just outside the window slammed the axe into the firewood, with a very angry, irritated look on his face.  Susan had been around for about a week and her and Bo were so in love and so happy. They spent everyday together. Everyone was happy for them, all except for Luke who was starting to feel real anger towards Susan. Luke just spent the past few days trying to avoid Bo as much as possible.  Bo and Susan were at the hotel, Susan was packing her bags as she was going to be leaving Hazzard the next day, but she was starting to have second thoughts about leaving.  "I think maybe I will stay a little longer here in Hazzard"  Susan said  "Really? I thought you had get back to the big city."Bo said  "Are you trying to get rid of me?"Susan asked   "Of course not, I just thought.."Bo started to say  "Well I could stay a little longer"Susan said  There was a knock on the door, and Susan went to answer it. As she started to open the door it was thrust open, and Susan was pushed back into the room.  "Hey get your hands off of her"Bo said angrily as he went over to check on Susan  Then Peter and Frankie walked into the room.  "Hello Susan, you took something that belongs to me, and I want it back"Peter said  "I don't know what you are talking about"Susan said taking a step backwards away from Peter  "You know what I'm talking about, now give it to me"Peter said starting to get angry  "Hey you heard what she said, now get out of here"Bo said  Then Frankie, who was about the size of a grizzly  bear walked over and stood in front of Bo.  "We ain't leaving till we get what we came for" he said  Peter grabbed Susan by the arm.  "Get your hands off of me"She yelled  Bo turned to see and then Frankie hit him in the side of the head with the handle of a gun, and Bo fell unconscious to the floor.  "Bo"Susan cried out worriedly  "Now where is that disk?"Peter asked  "I don't got your disk"Susan sad struggling to get out of Peters grasp  "Well, I don't believe you. Come on Frankie lets tear this place apart till we find that disk" Peter said and then let go of Susan's arm.   Susan rushed over to Bo's side and held his head in lap, she was to afraid to even say anything, she just sat there crying silently, worried about Bo.  Peter and Frankie searched the room but couldn't find the disk.  "Where is that disk?"Peter asked in a frustrated voice  "I told you I don't have it"Susan said her voice shaking  "Come on Frankie we're gonna take the two of them with us, and Susan you had better start talking or you and your boyfriend are dead" Peter said  They took them out and put them in their black Sedan and sped of towards Bronson's  Canyon, to their hideout in an old abandoned shack.  The next morning Uncle Jesse was making breakfast when Daisy and Luke got up.  "Where's Bo?"Uncle Jesse asked  Luke shrugged his shoulders "I don't know, he never did come home last night"  "Really?"Uncle Jesse said with a hint of worry  in his voice  Later after breakfast Uncle Jesse decided to call Susan to see if Bo was there, but there was a busy signal. So they decided to go into town to check to see if everything was alright, because they had a bad feeling about it. When they got into town they saw the General parked on the far side of the street across from the Hazzard hotel. Daisy pulled Dixie in behind, then they went up to Susan's room. When they got there they saw the door was open a crack so they went in and then saw the room had been trashed, the phone lay off the hook on the floor. Daisy had entered first, and she gasped when she saw the mess. Luke heard her and pushed past into the room.  "I wonder what happened in here"Uncle Jesse said worriedly  "Yeah, I've got a bad feeling about all this"Luke said "we had better go report it to Rosco"  "Yeah your right Luke"Uncle Jesse said  They rushed over to the sheriffs station, Rosco looked up from a stack of papers as they walked through the door.  "Oh what are you Dukes doing here?"Rosco asked  "We'd like to file a missing persons report"Uncle Jesse said  "And just who is this missing person?"Rosco asked  "Its two people Rosco, Bo and Susan"Daisy said  "Oh tidily, I don't got time to waste on you Dukes story"Rosco said  "Rosco, this is serious"Uncle Jesse said starting to get angry  "I ain't got time to waste on such piddling things, I'm busy, now you Dukes get out of here before I cuff ya and stuff ya for loitering"Rosco said  "Rosco this ain't piddling, this is serious they could be in danger"Daisy said  "Oh tidily tuddly"Rosco said  "Forget it Daisy, were just gonna have to get to the bottom of this on our own" Luke said  So they went back to Susan's hotel room to look for clues.  "It looks like someone was looking for something"Daisy said looking over the mess then she notice a lump of red clay "Hey look at this"  "That coulda came from only one place, Bronson's Canyon" Luke said  "Yeah"Daisy said in agreement  "Well I'll go up there and see what I can find, and the two of you can look for anymore clues" Luke said  "Yeah you be careful and stay close on the CB" Uncle Jesse said  "You got it"Luke said and left the room  He went down and jumped into the General and sped of out of town. He took Old Ridge Road out towards Bronson's Canyon. He was really starting to worry about Bo and Susan he had a very bad feeling about what was happening.  Meanwhile back in the shack Peter and Frankie had tied Bo and Susan up, and were trying to think of how to get Susan to tell them where the disk was. Bo was trying to get out of the ropes but his head was still throbbing and they had took his knife, he stopped and leaned his head back against the beam that they were tied to.  "Are you okay?"Susan asked concernedly  "Yeah, I just feel like I got hit by a truck is all"Bo said then started to work at getting loose again. The ropes finally started to loosen a little bit.  Finally  Bo could slide his hands out of the ropes, then he untied his feet, and then untied Susan. Peter and Frankie were still in the room, Bo and Susan snuck quietly over to the door and carefully opened it and peeked out into the other room, they saw them sitting a table. Bo shut the door quietly, then the two of them walked over to the window that was boarded over, Bo was easily able to pry the boards off, then they climbed out. They had just got out when Peter and Frankie came into the room. Frankie ran after them and went out the window, and Peter went around to the door to try to cut them off outside. As Bo and Susan rounded the corner of the old shack Peter jumped out and grabbed Susan by the arm, then Frankie caught up and grabbed Bo and they started to fight. Luke was just coming down the road and saw what was happening, he sped up when he was just a few feet from the cabin, he sounded the General's horn the sound of Dixie took Peter and Frankie off guard.  Susan managed to break away from Peter's hold, and with one swift punch to the stomach Bo knocked Frankie to the ground, then they ran over to the General, Susan slid in first, then Bo jumped into the window and as he was sliding in Luke took off down the road.  "Thanks  cuz, I owe ya one" Bo said  "Yeah, don't mention it" Luke replied  Peter and Frankie had got into their car and started to chase after them.   Luke was keeping a few feet ahead of them, then Frankie started to shoot at them, one of the bullets hit the right rear tire of the General, sending them off the road into the bushes. Bo and Luke climbed out of the General, to confront Peter and Frankie who had got out of their car and were approaching them.  "If you ploughboys know whats good for ya, you'll hand Susan over to us" Peter said  "I don't think so" Bo said  Then Frankie took a swing at Bo but Luke stopped him from hitting Bo, then they started to fight. Peter went to move towards the General to get Susan and Bo tackled him. Fortunately, Enos was out on patrol and saw the fight he pulled over then arrested Peter and Frankie, Enos took them to the sheriff's station. Then Bo fixed the tire, while Luke CBed Uncle Jesse and Daisy to meet them at the sheriff's station.   "What did they want anyway?"Luke asked  "They wanted this"Susan said reaching under the Generals seat and pulling out the black box.  "What is it?"Luke asked  "Its a disk that contains enough information to send both of them up the river for a long time"Susan said  They arrived at the sheriffs station and Uncle Jesse and Daisy were waiting for them, Bo told them everything that had happened. The state police were called in and they took Peter and Frankie away. The Dukes and Susan went back to the farm, Susan had to go to testify. She had decided she missed the big city life too.  She and Bo were outside talking.  "Why don't you come to the city with me?"she asked  "Big city life ain't exactly my style"Bo said  "Yeah and small town life isn't for me, too bad it could've been wonderful"Susan said  "It was wonderful" Bo said  "Yeah I guess it wasn't meant to be, but we still can be friends, can't we"Susan asked  "Well of course" Bo said and gave Susan a quick little hug  Just then Luke came outside.  "I hate to butt in here, but you still have some explaining to do before you leave"He said looking at Susan.  "What do you mean?" Susan said  Luke looked at Bo uneasily, then turned back to Susan while Bo looked confused.  "The day you got here, when I went into town I heard Peter call you his wife"  Before Susan could answer, Bo stepped between her and Luke.  "Is that true Susan?" Bo asked  "Not the way it sounds....." she started to say  "In what way then?" Bo said  "Peter's my ex-husband. We've been divorced for over a year" Susan said  Bo smiled, "Really?"  "Really"Susan said  Luke was relieved.  "Listen, I'm sorry I started this" he said "Susan I gotta apologize"  "Oh thats okay, I can see how you'd think otherwise" she said "Well I guess I should be going, bye" she said and getting into her car  "Bye now"Bo said and waved  Luke put his arm around Bo's shoulder  "You ain't mad at me for starting all that are you?"  "No I ain't cousin" Bo said, and he put his arm around Luke's shoulder as he watched Susan drive away. Bo just stood watching her go until her car was out of sight then they turned and went into the house.
