| When Dawson unexpectedly finds Pacey in Dawson's bedroom in the
middle of the day, he's a bit perturbed. His anxiety grows when he discovers a
condom wrapper under his bed. When he overhears part of a conversation between
Joey and Pacey, he mistakenly puts two and two together. Convinced that Joey
and Pacey are having an illicit affair, Dawson convinces a reluctant Jen to go
along as he follows the pair one night - only to find them ballroom dancing.
Forced to take the class they've interrupted, the perceptive instructor figures
out that Dawson and Jen used to date, and senses sexual chemistry between Pacey
and Joey. While dancing, Dawson lets his agitation show as he accuses Joey and
Pacey - who naturally deny everything. After class, he and Joey are stunned to
find Jen and Pacey kissing in the coat closet. Speechless, Dawson admits to
Pacey that he was way off base. But Pacey reminds him that while it may not be
him, someone else is going to come along and be interested in Joey Potter - and
he can't just expect her to wait around forever for him. Dawson helps an
