Jen and Pacey
continue their unsuccessful attempt to have commitment, emotion-free sex, but
they can't do it. But it doesn't deter them from trying. When Dawson starts
fishing for information about Pacey, Jen worries that Dawson is onto them. She
quickly realizes, however, that he's suspicious of Joey and Pacey, and somewhat
reluctantly goes along with Dawson as he follows the pair - to a dance studio.
The four wind up ballroom dancing as Dawson lets his jealousy over Joey show.
Finally Jen and Pacey escape, only to be caught kissing in the coat closet by
Joey and Dawson - a kiss that seals their realization that there's "nothing"
there. Their plan just isn't going to work out. Jen and Pacey muse over Dawson
and Joey's reactions to their kiss, and Jen wonders aloud what it is about Joey
that draws in the males of Capeside. Pacey protests, but Jen can see Pacey's
interested in Joey. Jen smiles and tells Pacey "thanks for
nothing."
