Author's Note: This is not a series, just a short story that came to mind when I heard this song. It's called Reminiscing(not much of a surprise) by The Little River Band.
I was walking you home we got down to the gate
And I was dreaming of the night.
Would it turn out right?
How to tell you girl
I want to build my world around you.
Tell you that it's true
I want to make you understand
I'm talkin about a lifetime plan.
"That's only because there's a beautiful woman in my arms."
Joey Witter smiled into Pacey's handsome face, she closed her eyes and let the music take her back as the floated across the floor.
I can hardly wait.
I said to myself, when we're old,
We'll go dancing in the dark,
Walking through the park
And reminiscing.
I was walking you home we got down to the gate
And I was dreaming of the night
Would it turn out right?
Joey slowly lifted her head and opened her eyes to see her husband's intent stare.
"Us," she started slowly, "how grown up we seem to be with a house and two children. But when I'm with you.............................I don't feel like an adult. I still get this feeling in my stomach every time you look at me."
Pacey brought Joey closer and breathed in the scent of her hair. They were oblivious to the sights and sounds around them. And Joey thought of how so long ago she had believed that Dawson was the one for her and here she was. Life was strange, but oh so wonderful. Joey kissed Pacey lightly and he opened his eyes.
"What were you thinking about?" She asked this time.
He smiled at her and she felt her self fall into him all over again.
"I was thinking about how here I am, with no office calling me, a stunning wife, and a hotel room that over looks the water."
"Ahh, what's a man to do," she laughed sarcastically.
"This," Pacey murmured in Joey's ear as he gave her a devilish smile and led her off the floor and towards the entrance way.
Each time we hear that favorite song
The memories come
Oh, the times we're missing
Spending the hours reminiscing.
