The Ruff Ryders became a force to be reckoned with in 1998. It was clearly a Ruff year. No one was able to control the dog. DMX was featured on more than 30songs that year. In 1999 nothing has changed. So to prove their capabillities they came together as a whole and put together "Ryde or Die Vol. 1." The album stayed number 1 on the Billboard charts for 3weeks. It's gradually slipping from the number 1 spot but it remains in the Top 10. Ruff Ryders has been around for quite sometime but has been kept under wraps because they didn't have the funds and that one artist to set off the company. That all changed in 1998 when Darm Man X(DMX) signed to the label and like he said "Shut em down." The label is scheduled to release 2 other solo albums from artists "DRAG-ON" and "EVE"
