Trivia Tid-bits:
- The title of the show now simply becomes, "Laverne & Shirley."

- Shirley only has $119.37 dollars to buy the car while the owner, Lucille Lockwash, wants $200 for it.

- Shirley has always wanted her own car ever since the bus driver slammed the door on her lips.

- Blooper: In the very first appearance of L&S on "Happy Days", Laverne asks Fonzie and Richie to drive real slow because the girls didn't have any insurance on their own car. In this episode, the car they buy is Laverne & Shirley's very first and only car.

- Laverne only spent $11.95 on a new outfit.

- Laverne doesn't want to buy the car because she's afraid to drive.

- Shirley's middle name is Whilhelmina.

- Laverne went to the junior prom with her cousin Vito.

- Shirley stuffs socks in her bra.

- To help Laverne how to drive a car, Shirley uses a record as a steering wheel, a banana as a gear shift, can of corn as the clutch, can of beans as the brake, and a can of peaches as the gas. Laverne responds, "Shouldn't we use the beans for gas?" (A memorable classic TV scene in my opinion.)

- Laverne ends up causing all kinds of havoc on her first day behind the wheel. She hits a car, cuts cars off, jumps curves, drive backwards on streets, runs a car off the road, and almost runs over a nun.

- This is another of one of the many appearances of Bo Kaprall as Officer Norman Hughes.

- Norman gives Laverne a ticket because she ran over his foot.

- Some of the violations on Laverne's ticket: illegal parking on a lawn jockey, illegal turn into voting booth, endangering cub scouts.

- Norman is giving Laverne the ticket because she wouldn't go to pistol orientation with him.

- Laverne found a perfect driving teacher: her father.

- This episode reveals that Laverne drinks milk and pepsi.

- This episode also features the first ending sequence of Shirley's "dear diary."
