Hi! Thanks for clicking over here.  So what is this? It's my desperate plea, from this little space in Internet mayhem ... for all of you Canuck Junkies to help out your favourite little show. 

What Am I Talking About?

Somebody (Hi Sue!) recently brought it to my attention that Showcase is no longer planning to air Adrenalin Junkies in its fall lineup.  Of course, this is not at all fair, and probably angers a lot of us Junkies.  Not only does it basically eleminate the possibility of future Canuck Junkies, but it also takes away the chance of us Alumni Junkies taping all our most fave eps, moments, and character moments.

What Can I Do?

Of course we are all asking ourselves this ... what can we do? Well, there is great proof that letterwriting (as dumb and pointless as it may seem) can do wonders for television programs.  Case in Point - another of my fave Canuck shows, Forever Knight, was canceled at least two times - though it ran a full three season run.  How did it last? The fans of course.  They organized letter-writing campaigns, ambushed meetings (although I doubt that's necessary for us) and basically brought their show back.

A Word in For Showcase

Now, I felt I had to include this, since I myself was inclined to write a nasty letter to Showcase in regards to their cancelation of AJ.  We have to take into consideration that Showcase is a great channel (since I think they air all my fave shows) and they probably are just taking their best interests into consideration (now how many times have you heard your parents say that ... and cringed?)

We can't forget that were it not for Showcase, none of us Canucks would ever have heard of a wonderful little Aussie drama called Adrenalin Junkies.

So please, I just ask one thing in the letter writing ... don't be nasty!
