Character Bios.

Ash Ketchum:

Our hero and main character is a ten-year-old boy (and much cuter than any animated Leonardo DeCapitated could ever be, in my opinion ;P) who is determined to become a Pokémon Master. Black-haired, brown-eyed, and full of courage and pride, he started his journey in his hometown, Pallet Town, when Professor Oak gave him his first Pokémon Pikachu. The two didn't hit it off right away, but soon they were best friends. Ash's quest is to travel the land with his friends, battling his Pokémon against Gym leaders' to earn their badges and collect more Pokémon. He may have a lot to learn about Pokémon training and life in general, but he has the resolution to see it through.
Ash's Pokémon: many

Brock:

Brock uses rock Pokémon best, and Ash meets him in his hometown: Pewter City. His first badge is earned from Brock, who ran the Gym there. He dreams of becoming a Pokémon breeder. He can get the stingiest Pokémon to eat his cooking. After his missing father appears to watch over his numerous brothers and sisters, he joins Ash on his quest. And Brock has one Achilles Heal: pretty girls! Every time one walks by he's off to la-la land . . . usually making a total fool of himself and getting the girl so angry she won't even look at him. Recently he left Ash and Misty to study Pokémon with Professor Ivy on Valencia Island.
Brock's Pokémon:

Misty:

Misty's a little pushy, a little arrogant, a little pain in the butt . . . Anyway, she's from Cerulean City, and when Ash first met her she was literally fishing him out of a river. After taking her bike--then destroying it--Misty vowed to follow him until he repaid her. Of course, we all know the spunky, blue-eyed redhead just wants an excuse to join the group. With water Pokémon as her specialty, Misty and her three sisters are Gym leaders in Cerulean City, although Misty isn't there usually. Misty may be annoying at times, but she is a good friend. She's proven that by sticking with Ash no matter what.
Misty's Pokémon: Togepi

Gary Oak:

Gary's also a ten-year-old from Pallet, and Ash's rival as well. He insists he's a smarter and better trainer than Ash is, and never misses rubbing it in the "loser's" face every time they meet. Ash used to think he was the loser so proclaimed, but not anymore! Actually, Gary and Ash have been getting along a little better lately, especially since Gary washed out of the Pokémon League early (ha ha). And have you heard his voice? This guy sounds like Urkle on steroids.
Gary's Pokémon (that we know of):

Professor Oak:

There's only one word to that can describe this sixty-year-old Professor of Pokémon: weird! I mean, "Every morning cake and tea, just my Pokémon and me." Bad enough he's eccentric enough to be a mad scientist, he has to write poetry too? Anyway, he's Gary's grandfather, and totally oblivious to his grandson and Ash's rivalry. Anyone from Pallet Town starts out by going to him first. He gives them their starter Pokémon, a hand-held computer that tells them everything they ever need to know about the 150 different kinds, and six Pokéballs. You can't catch Pokémon without Pokéballs! For all his weirdness though, he's really a nice, friendly guy.

Tracey:

Tracey joined Ash and Misty soon after Brock left. He met them when Ash was trying to stop some punks from hitting an injured Lapras. Tracey is a Pokémon watcher. That means he travels all over, taking pictures and making sketches of wild and trained Pokémon. Watchers collect information about Pokémon, which ables trainers to treat their Pokémon better. Professor Oak is his idol.
Tracey's Pokémon: Marril

Team Rocket:

As I said, what would a television show be without villians? Or a quest, for that matter. Team Rocket fits the bill. They report to a mysterious Boss, who orders them to capture rare Pokémon. If these three could just pull their act together, they might be able to bring him one. But we wouldn't let that happen, would we?

Jessie:

I've seen her name as Jesse, but that's the male way of spelling it, and you can imagine how mad she would be to discover that! So I call her Jessie. You can call her whatever you like, but just watch yourself when she's around! ;) She's a real redhead with blue eyes and a knack for fasion. This seventeen-year-old is the ambitious one in the semi-evil trio, and heaven help anyone who ruins her "perfection." She values beauty over everything, especially her own.
Jessie's Pokémon:

James:

He's purple-haired, green-eyed, and . . . shall we say a little slow? He's the Team Rocket stooge, who probably joined just so he would belong somewhere. His ambitions are 1.)to be rich and 2.)to be fed. His voice is almost as annoying as Gary's, but he's kinda sweet so we don't mind.
James's Pokémon:

Meowth:

Ah, the brains of the operation. He's the one who comes up with the plans (which never work anyway). Strangely, he can talk! Unlike most Pokémon, who can only say their names, Meowth has an extensive vocabulary and isn't afraid to use it (uses it a little to much, if you ask me). He learned to talk in Hollywood, when he wanted to impress a female Meowth owned by a rich woman. Needless to say, things didn't work out. Poor Meowth.

Nurse Joy:

Can you all say "running gag?" I knew you could! Each nurse works at the Pokémon Centers of each town, caring for Pokémon when they're injured in battle. And what's more, they all look exactly alike! When asked about this strange trait, the reply is always along the same lines. "She's my sister, cousin, cousin's cousin, ect. ect. ect." That's okay, we like her anyway. And so does Brock!
Pokémon that help out Nurse Joy:

Officer Jenny:

About the same as Nurse Joy, each officer protects the city she lives in as only a law enforcer can. One, instead of a city, protects the rare Pokémon of the Safari Zone. Fair and always on the lookout for trouble makers, Officer Jenny also has cousins, sisters and other relatives that exactly resemble her. And, as always, Brock finds each more beautiful than the last.
