"You're free to go." said the guard.
"Thank you." said Clomens.
He took his stuff and got dressed.
"I am free and I will have my revenge." said Clomens smiling to himself.
He walked out of the police station and hailed a cab to the hospital.
"I've always admired you. You were very strong and a fighter. That's not because you're a lawyer, but because you went through hell as a child. I can only imagine what you've gone through. I went through a similar hell, but not quite like yours. It made me strong and fearless, but there was a part of me missing. It was love and I couldn't find it even after I married Tony. Big mistake on my part since he's really a psychopath, but your brother is different, even after we divorced I still loved him deep down inside. You probably wondered when you would find the love of your life and now he's here. You two are getting married and having a baby. I know it's not that simple to find the perfect man since you always said you were different and never had time for love only your family. I guess that all changed when you met Ned. Maybe that's why I admire you because you try to make time for family AND love. I'm just rambling because a lot of things seem new to me and I have no one to talk to. I really miss talking to you when I get home from work. Lucas even misses you." said Bobbie.
Ned walked in.
"Did you know they had guards outside?" asked Ned.
"No." she said.
"Stefan must've put them there, but Helena is dead. Who could possibly want to hurt her?" he asked.
"I don't know. I'll call and find out." she said.
She left the room as Alexis woke up.
"Hey, beautiful." he said.
"Hi, how are you?" asked Alexis.
"I'm fine." he said smiling.
"That's good." she said smiling.
"And how is Anastasia?" he asked smiling, putting his hand on her stomach.
"She's doing great." she said smiling.
"I made an appointment for you to have a sonogram." he said.
"Thank you. I can't wait to see our baby." she said smiling.
Ari walked in.
"I'm sorry to interrupt." said Ari.
"I thought there were guards." said Ned angrily.
"Guards?" asked Alexis.
"That's why I'm here." said Ari.
"We don't need to hear any of your excuses." said Ned angrily.
"Ned, let him speak." she said.
Ned sat down in a chair.
"Thank you. You're in grave danger." said Ari.
"What? Helena IS dead, isn't she?" she asked.
"Yes, she is dead. Clomens is seeking revenge and you are his first target along with your unborn child." said Ari.
Alexis put her hands on her stomach protectively as tears welled up in her eyes. Ned gets up and puts an arm around her.
"Why?" asked Ned.
"You killed the love of his life." said Ari.
"Wouldn't he go after my mother or Luke first?" she asked.
"He wants to make Kristen suffer more. I want to help protect you. I will be outside to relieve one of the guards. If you need anything I'll be right outside." said Ari.
He left the room to guard her door.
"I knew he always had a heart." she said.
"Or a second chance to hurt us." said Ned.
"I don't think so. He always despised working for Helena. I wonder why he never tried to kill her?" she asked.
"I guess we'll never know." he said.
Clomens had entered the hospital and went up to the nurses' station.
"Where is Miss Davis's room?" asked Clomens.
"Thirty-three D." said the nurse.
"Thank you." said Clomens.
He went in search of her room and found it. He saw Ari and another guard.
"Damn him." said Clomens angrily to himself.
"I'll be back in a few minutes. I need to get food into my stomach." said the guard.
"Okay." said Ari.
The guard left and Clomens made his move. When Ari wasn't looking he snuck up behind him and hit him over the head with the butt of his gun. He fell to the ground unconscious as Clomens stormed into the room. Ned and Alexis were talking when a man entered the room.
"Who the hell are you?" asked Ned angrily.
"Your worst nightmare." said Clomens angrily.
He pointed the gun at Alexis who went pale, but suddenly he aimed the gun at Ned and shot him. He fell to the ground as Alexis screamed. She pushed a button for a nurse and Clomens scooped her up, carrying her out of the room. Bobbie rushed in.
"What's wro..." asked Bobbie as her question trailed off.
She saw Ned on the ground and Alexis was gone. She also noticed Ari unconscious outside. She went over and shook Ned.
"What?" asked Ned groggily.
"What happened?" she asked.
"Some guy came in and shot me." he said.
"Where?" she asked.
"I think it's my leg." he said.
She searched his left leg and found the wound.
"I'll get a doctor." she said.
She saw Ari starting to wake up.
"Are you okay? Do you want me to get you a doctor?" she asked.
"No, I'm fine." said Ari.
She hurried to get a doctor.
