"Rules of Engagement"
First time Harm and Mac see each other after he left JAG Mac's helicopter arrives on the deck of the Patrick Henry.. She gets out and Harm is waiting for her. They hug. After they move inside, Harm discovers she has been promoted and snaps to attention. They tease and exchange friendly banter. It's hard to believe they haven't seen each other in 5 months, as they appear very comfortable around each other. Harm, Mac and Bud are talking. Bud asks Harm if he is upset about having to go back in the courtroom. Harm says the only thing that's terrible is having to work with Brumby. Mac laughs. Harm sure doesn't like the guy! Bud is on the phone to Harriet, who is telling him what she has planned for them when he gets home. Harm approaches and tells Bud he may be able to get him up in an F 14. Bud looks up, confused. Harm begins to make plane noises and tells Bud he may be allowed to even shoot the guns, and proceeds to use his fingers as guns, making more noises. Bud, obviously more concerned with his wife, politely asks Harm to leave him alone while he talks to Harriet. Harm looks at Mac, confused and a little hurt. Mac just grins. She knows what's going on, and she knows Harm, caught up in his love of flying, is clueless!Front and Center
The Admiral, Harm, Bud, Brumby and Mattoni are in the conference room. Harm receives the Distinguished Flying Cross from the Admiral. After pinning the metal on him, the Admiral asks Mac to 'do the honors.' Mac hesitates, then weakly smiles and walk towards Harm. He breaks into a grin and says "gently marine" as she leans in and kisses him lightly on the cheek. The camera cuts to Brumby, who looks unhappy, and then Bud, who is grinning from ear to ear! Later, Brumby asks the Admiral if he can go up against Mac in court, saying that he wishes to 'lock horns with a worthy adversary'. Mac smiles at him while Harm, seated across the table, looks annoyed. Harm confronts Mac about her flirting with Brumby. He accuses her of encouraging him, and when Mac says they're just friends, Harm retorts that no man wants to be friends with a woman who looks like her! Mac gets annoyed and tells Harm when it comes to her relationships, he's not necessarily on a need to know basis. Harm looks surprised and quickly leaves her office. Harm is clearly jealous! Later, Harm apologizes to Mac. But he quickly puts his foot in his mouth by telling Mac that she and Brumby have no chemistry, anyway. As he walks away, Mac rolls her eyes and sighs. She appears to be thinking "Oh really?"
