Title: A
Valentine’s Day Date
It was a beautiful day; more specifically it was Valentine’s Day. The sun shone down warmly on planet Arus and everyone was preparing to spend the day with the one they loved.
Lance couldn’t help but singing a cheery old love song as he took a shower in preparation for his date. Just the thought of it being his and Keith’s first Valentine’s Day together made him smile. He had worried about making plans until Keith had assured him that he would take care of all the date details, which Lance was grateful for because although he was sweet talker at times he knew little about romance.
Lance looked at his reflection in the mirror, dressed in a pair of black jeans and cobalt blue silk shirt, he kept fussing with his hair trying to look his best. A knock at the interrupted him, and he hurried to answer the door. He was shocked to see Keith standing there dressed in a pair dark brown slacks and dark crimson red shirt.
“You’re early.” Lance said. Feeling rather stupid for stating such an obvious thing he quickly added. “You look great.” Lance said, unable to resist the urge to reach out and run his fingers through Keith’s hair.
“So do you.” Keith said, turning his head slightly and kissing Lance’s fingers.
The two lover’s looked into each other’s eyes for moment before Keith lifted a single yellow rose up to Lance. “This is your first gift for today.”
“It’s beautiful.” Lance said as he took the rose and deeply inhaled it’s sweet scent.
“It’s beauty dims in comparison to yours.” Keith said.
Lance blushed slightly. “And people accuse me of being a sweet talker.”
“I learned it from you.” Keith said as he took a hold of Lance’s hand. “Are you ready to go babe?”
“Just a minute…” Lance dashed back into the room and grabbed the gift he had gotten for Keith off the top of his dresser, the small box was wrapped with red foil paper, with a white ribbon tied into a bow on the top. He handed the small box to Keith. “This is for you.”
Keith carefully slid the ribbon off the box and unwrapped the box, being careful not to tear the red paper. Keith opened the top on the box, revealing the silver pocket watch with a Celtic design etched on the top. “It’s absolutely beautiful.” Keith said as he picked up the watch to look more closely at it.
“There’s an inscription on the inside.” Lance said.
Keith opened and read the inscription on the inside: With Love that will last as long as
time, Lance.
“It’s so beautiful.” Keith said, his black eyes bright with unshed tears of happiness as he hugged Lance. “Thank you.”
A moment later Keith stepped back and Lance gave him a kiss on the cheek. “You’re welcome.”
Keith put the watch into his pocket. “Are you ready to go now?” Keith asked smiling lovingly at Lance.
Lance tossed the box and wrapping paper into his. “Couldn’t be more ready.”
Keith led Lance out of the castle and along a trail through the woods that was alive with spring flowers and sounds of birds singing in the trees. They walked arm in arm until the reached the lake. The blue water sparkled in the sunlight, and there was not even a single wave to break the smooth shimmering surface.
“What are we doing here? We’re not going swimming are we?” Lance asked.
“We’re kind of over dressed for that silly.” Keith chuckled. He gently kissed Lance’s cheek then stepped over to men who stood on the dock.
Lance couldn’t hear what Keith was saying to the man but saw Keith hand him so money, then the man stepped away and Keith walked back over to Lance.
“What we are doing is taking a canoe ride out on the lake.” Keith said. He took a hold of Lance’s hand and guided him out on to the dock and helped him down into the canoe.
Keith climbed down into the canoe and sat facing Lance, and shoved away from the dock.
“Um, there’s only one set of paddles.” Lance said.
“That’s because I plan on doing all the paddling.” Keith smiled, as he began to paddle the canoe away from the shore.
Keith rowed the canoe around the lake for a couple hours, the two lowers talking and just enjoying each other’s company. Keith brought the canoe to a stop, in the in the middle of the lake.
Lance looked puzzled, wondering what Keith was up to now, he couldn’t believe the amount of effort Keith must have but into planning this date. Keith turned around and picked up a small wicker picnic basket and set it between them.
“What’s this?” Lance asked.
“Lunch.” Keith said, opening the basket to reveal an array of fresh fruits. Keith picked out a strawberry and held it out to lance’s lips for him to eat.
Lance took the end of the strawberry into his teeth and wrapped his lips around Keith’s fingers as he pulled the sweet fruit into his mouth. “Delicious.” Lance stated after eating the berry. As Keith went to pull his fingers back Lance caught his hand and gently licked the straw juice off of Keith’s fingers. “Very delicious.”
They took turns feeding each other pieces of fruit until there was none left. They both leaned forward and captured each other’s lips in a deep kiss, sharing the tastes of the fruits that had eaten. Their tongues battled for dominance of the kiss for a few moments before Keith’s tongue yielded allowing Lance’s tongue to slid into his mouth in tender exploration. Neither wanted the passionate kiss to end, but soon it had to end in the need for air.
“Like I said before, very delicious.” Lance said.
“You can say that again.” Keith smiled.
“Very delicious.” Lance said, licking his lips.
After sharing a few kisses that were just as passionate as the first Keith paddled the boat back towards the shore.
Once back on land Keith guided Lance along a different path, leading to a small village.
“Now what?” Lance asked laughing wondering how many more surprises Keith had in store for him.
“You just have to wait and see.” Keith smiled teasingly.
They looked around the stores in the village for a while and Keith bought Lance a small stuff bear that was dressed as Cupid and holding a small box of chocolate.
Finally Keith led Lance to a small restaurant, the inside was dimly lit, most of the lighting coming from the candles on the tables, each table was adorned with a bouquet of fresh cut flowers. There was enough space between the tables to create a romantic, and private, atmosphere for each of the couples. Softy Arusian love songs played by a woman with violin.
“This place is….” Lance tried to think of the right word to describe the beauty of the place, and not the fact that it looked expensive. “It’s very nice.”
“It’s supposed to be one of the best places to go on Valentine’s Day. Had to make the reservation last month.”
“You didn’t need to go through so much effort, I mean I’d be happy with just a pizza.” Lance laughed.
“I know, but that’s something for an any day date not Valentine’s.” Keith said.
“I guess. This probably costs too much though.” Lance said.
“Don’t worry about it. You won’t ever even have to see the prices, I know what you like and ordered our food in advance.
A waiter came over to the table at that moment and set a silver wine bucket, with the bottle in it on the table. He took the bottle and filled the two crystal goblets with wine.
Lance took a sip of the wine. “This is a good wine, it’s sweet.”
Keith smiled. “I know that’s the kind of wine you like.”
Lance nodded and took another sip, it was the kind of wine he liked and he knew by the table it wasn’t exactly a cheap wine either.
A moment later the waiter returned with basket of fresh warm bread and butter, and two bowls of Italian Wedding Soup.
“I haven’t had this soup in so long. I didn’t think anyone on Arus knew how to make it.” Lance said.
“They do, they just call it by a different name, Chicoasta Soup.” Keith said.
They finished the soup and couple slices of the bread when the waiter came back around. He topped each of the goblets with wine, before silently removing the dirty dishes.
“This place really is too much though, I wish I bought you something more then just a silly watch.” Lance said.
Keith reached across the table and took a hold of Lance’s hand. “The watch is beautiful, I love it, I love you. The point of Valentine’s gift is to show love and not who spent more.”
Lance smiled. “What did I ever do to deserve you?”
“Must have been something pretty terrible.” Keith said.
Lance shook his head. “Something right to receive such a wonderful gift from heaven.”
The waiter returned a moment later with main course plates, Chicken Marsala, roasted potatoes that were cut in bite size pieces and asparagus spears in a butter sauce. They enjoyed the meal, talking very little, merely enjoying each other’s company, the music and the meal.
Once they finished the meal and the dishes were put away the waiter returned with a single dish for dessert, a chocolate truffle cake with a whipped cream topping decorate with sliced strawberries.
“The dessert is to share.” Keith told Lance as he took a spoon of it and held it out for Lance.
They fed each other much like they did the fresh fruit at lunch, both enjoying the delicate chocolate flavour. Once they finished eating Keith took care of paying the bill and led Lance back to the castle.
They reached Keith’s bedroom door and Keith kissed Lance’s cheek. “Wait here a moment while I set things up, okay?”
Lance nodded and Keith hurried into the room leaving him alone in the hallway. A couple moments later the door reopened and Keith took a hold of Lance’s hand and guided him into the room. Lance was stunned to find the room aglow with candles, the scent of incenses filling the room. Soft music was playing, the same song that Lance had found himself singing earlier. The whole room just seemed to glow with a romantic atmosphere.
“Wow…” was all Lance could even think to say.
Keith knelt down on one knee in front of Lance and took a hold of Lance’s left hand with his. “I know we haven’t been dating a long time, but we have known each other for years and have always been friend since the first moment we met. I love you more then I have ever loved another before. I love you more then I ever thought it was possible to love. My heart and soul belong to you.” Keith slid a hematite band that had tiny rubies etched into the shape of an eternity symbol on the top. “I will love you forever. Will you marry me Lance Meadows?”
Lance blinked back the tears he could feel brimming in his eyes. He couldn’t seem to find his voice to answer Keith’s question so he knelt down in front of Keith and gently kissed him on the lips.
“Is that a yes?” Keith asked quietly.
Lance nodded. “Of course I’ll marry you.”
“Thank you.” Keith said, not doing anything to hide his tears of joy. He lightly kissed Lance and drew him into a warm embrace.
Lance wrapped his arms around Keith and leaned into the warm embrace. The two lovers stay motionless in each other’s embrace for several long minutes.
Without a word being said Keith stood up, and still holding Lance’s hand he pulled his lover, now fiancé, to his feet as well and led him over to the bed. The bed, which was normally covered with simple blue cotton sheets, was now made with black satin sheets.
“Nice sheets.” Lance teased.
“Needed something special for tonight.” Keith said.
“This whole day as been special. A magical day that I will never forget.” Lance said.
Keith smiled. “And that’s why the tonight needed to be special.”
“Any night with you is special.” Lance said.
“Sweet talker.” Keith accused lovingly.
“It’s the truth.” Lance said and kissed Keith deeply on the lips.
Keith returned the kiss while undoing the buttons of Lance’s shirt and running his hands down along Lance’s muscular chest as the flesh became bared. Lance gave a soft moan from around the kiss as Keith’s fingers gently caressed his warm flesh. Keith pushed Lance’s shirt off, allowing it to fall to the floor. Keith pulled his lips away from Lance’s, though instead of pulling away he began to trail kiss down along Lance’s neck. Lance tipped his head back to allow Keith’s lips better access to his neck. As Keith’s fingers caressed Lance’s chest and back, touching any bare flesh they could reach, Lance’s fingers ran through Keith’s soft black hair.
Keith began to trail the kiss down onto Lance’s chest, slowly knelling down before Lance as the kisses grew lower. Keith kissed Lance’s stomach and sat back slightly, stopping the kisses despite a protest by Lance. He slowly undid Lance’s jeans fingers only touching Lance’s cotton imprisoned desire. Lance moaned and the feathery touch and clutched Keith’s shoulders in his hands.
Keith slid his fingers to the inside of the jeans allowing his fingers to trail along Lance’s legs as he the black denim down slowly. Lance balanced his weight on Keith’s shoulders as Keith slowly slid Lance’s feet out of the boots and slid the socks off before removing the jeans.
Lance let out a long moan as Keith traced his fingers over the front of his boxers, touching Lance’s straining erection with only a light caress for the briefest of moments. Keith hooked his thumbs under the waistband of the boxer’s and pushed them down allowing them to fall to Lance’s ankles so he could easily step out of them. Keith leaned his head forward and kissed the tip of Lance’s erection.
Lance ran his fingers through Keith’s hair, caressing the back of Keith’s head. “You’re a little over dressed love.”
“I’m sure you know how to remedy that problem.” Keith smiled up at Keith flirtatiously.
Lance smiled. “That’s one problem I’m real good at fixing.”
Lance pulled Keith over to the bed and sat him down. He knelt in front of the bed and slowly undid the laces of Keith’s brown shoes removing the shoes and socks and gently rubbing Keith’s feet for a moment with a gently massage. Lance gently parted Keith’s legs and moved closer to the bed knelling between Keith’s legs.
Lance reached up with one hand and wrapped his fingers around the back Keith’s neck and pulled his head down for a deep searing kiss. Lance’s other hand slowly ran down Keith chest undoing each button as his fingers reached it.
Finally Lance broke the kiss allowing them both to catch their breath. Lance shoved Keith’s shirt off trailing his fingers along Keith’s arms at the same time, before tossing the shirt into a messy heap on the floor.
Lance trailed his fingers over Keith’s smooth muscular chest and leaned forward and licked Keith’s left nipple then blew gently on the warm flesh sending a shiver down Keith’s spine. Keith moaned as Lance did the same thing to other nipple, as he dug fingers into Lance’s thick brown hair.
Lance ran his fingers over Keith’s stomach and slowly undid Keith’s pants. He leaned in closer and slid his hand inside the back of Keith’s pants, caressing Keith through the light cotton boxers. Lance slowly climbed up onto the edge of the bed while gently lowering Keith back onto the soft black satin sheets.
Keith gazed up at Lance, black eyes meeting hazel, both of the smiled their eyes shinning with love. Lance gently lifted Keith’s ass of the sheets and shoved the pants and boxers down at the same time. He slid back off the edge of the bed as he pulled the clothing off and tossed all of it to the floor.
“There problem solved.” Lance grinned.
“Almost.” Keith said.
“Oh?”
Keith sat up and grabbed Lance’s hands and laid down pulling Lance down with him. “That’s a little better.”
Lance kissed Keith on the lips. “Oh and how would you make it better?” he asked, his lips so close to Keith’s that they brushed when he spoke.
Keith darted his tongue out and licked Lance’s lips then captured them with a deep kiss, slipping his tongue into Lance’s mouth. He wrapped his arms around Lance squeezing Lance’s firm ass with his hands and rubbing himself up against Lance’s body. He broke the kiss. “I want you inside of me.” He said breathlessly.
Lance looked down at the man he loved more then life itself and smiled. “As you wish my love.”
Keith smiled. “I love you Lance.”
Lance kissed Keith lightly on the lips. “And I love you too Keith.”
For the rest of the night, and into the early morning hours the two lovers made wild and passionate love, both eventually falling asleep with dreams of their wedding and the rest of lives playing in the heads.
