Guidelines For Submission

TV Café is a place that encourages fans who adore the shows they watch and love to talk about them. However, to cash into that "fifteen minutes of fame", there's some ground rules that you have to follow:

Essays:

  1. Submissions must be up to 1 to 3 pages. Content has to deal with fan experiences, television reviews or certain aspects of your favorite shows that make you think. NO SUMMARIES OF PROGRAMS PLEASE!!!!
  2. No spooge, hate speech, or material that defames or slanders fans, actors, networks or television programs
  3. Keep foul language to a minimum.
  4. Send submissions either by a html attachment or as a part of your e-mail message.
  5. Your "nick" or "name" is always required (even if it is anonymous). However, please indicate at the end of your submission whether you would like your e-mail address printed along with your essay. Otherwise, it will not be given.
  6. All submissions must be spell-checked and edited.

 

Fan Fiction:

  1. Creative work featuring tributes to any show is great (even though I will contribute my Daria stories). Any subject is welcome as long as it is tastefully done.
  2. As in the essays, no pornography or hate content in fan fiction (as complicit with Yahoo! guidelines).
  3. In multi-part work, you must guarantee within your e-mail message that you will get it done within four months time. If not, it will be taken off.
  4. Send submissions either by a html attachment or as part of your e-mail message.
  5. Provide a summary statement about your story at the top of the document along with your name or "nick". Here too, if you would like your e-mail address to be printed, please indicate as such. Otherwise, it will not be given.
  6. All submissions must be spell-checked and edited.
