In this episode, Ash and his friends come upon a preschool of children celebrating (you guessed it) Children's Day. They discover a Pokémon trainer and his Pokémon were planning on coming in to show the kids, but had to cancel. Doing what any kind and considerate boy would do, he offers to come in with Pikachu. All the kids are thrilled when they show up. Pikachu is slightly less.
But they aren't the only ones. Team Rocket appears, and they find they made one of the children very happy; he had been hoping he would see a Meowth. This is because he was saved by a Meowth when he was lost in the forest. Seeing a way to get at Pikachu, Team Rocket tries to get the boy to capture Pikachu for them. The boy, who would do anything to please his favorite Pokémon, tries. It fails of course. Team Rocket is deafeated and everything is good and right once again.
This episode was skipped for the same reason the previous one was. It was feared that people just wouldn't get it. But I say just because this episode centers on a holiday we don't celebrate, it doesn't mean we can't see it! Who agrees with me? Come on, help us out! Every single person can make a difference. Okay, I'm shutting up now.
