PARTNER'S RETREAT
"A partner's retreat?" Commander Harmon Rabb Jr. queried in a voice that sounded suspiciously whiny.
"Yes, and I don't want you going off to investigate any strange things in the woods while you're supposed to be on it." Assistant Director Walter Skinner said glaring at his two agents while Scully and Mulder exchanged looks.
"But Cap, we don't need to go on one! We're best friends already, how much better partners can we be?" Sergeant Christopher Lorenzo whined.
Admiral A.J. Chegwidden glared at his two top officers. "These orders came down from the top brass. Something about making officers more sensitive or something like that. I don't expect you to like giving up your weekend but I do expect you to follow them. Is that understood?"
"Yes sir." Mulder and Scully muttered in unison.
"Good. You two have the rest of the day off to go home and pack. I expect you both at this address by nine tomorrow morning, now go! Get out of here." Capt. Lipschitz said glaring at Lorenzo and Lance over the top of his glasses.
"Aye, Aye sir." Rabb and Mackenzie said snapping to attention before filing out the door.
Once in the outer hallway Mulder and Scully stopped to exchange suspicious looks with each other.
"Now what do you suppose all of this is about?" Chris asked Rita as they made their way over to their desks.
"I guess we'll know in fourteen hours sailor." Mac said with a shrug as she entered her office closing the door behind her.
