In 1979, Laura got a job at the Campus Disco, which put her in close proximity to Luke Spencer, who managed the disco as a front for the mob. Laura was dating Scotty Baldwin at the time but was attracted to Luke. Luke [questionably] raped Laura, but the deed later turned to passion, which began the long saga of Luke and Laura, their love, ultimate marriage, and 2 children.
