"...And these children
that you spit on.
As they try to change their worlds are
immune to your consultations.
They're quite aware of what they're going through..."
DAVID BOWIE
In everyones life, comes a mentor or an inspiration, an IDOL! My idol is the one and only JOHN HUGHES! He has made movies that have entertained us and let us grow. His films are a mixture of reality and fantasy-and in the best sense, they make the adults the less intelligent species.
"Many filmmakers portray teenagers as immoral and ignorant, with pursuits that are pretty base."
On "SIXTEEN CANDLES"
"...this film looks at teenage love in an entirely new way-from the girl's point of view...It's a lot more interesting that way, because girls tend to have a more considered view of life, while boys rampage through it."
On "THE BREAKFEST CLUB"
"...everybody at that age thinks they're so different. But once you get beyond the surface , it turns out that they all have pretty much the same problems and concerns. The same issues affect them all, though maybe in different ways."
