The following are the profiles of our members.
Geoffrey Buhagiar, or Geoffrey the Magician, as he prefers to be known, hails from Mosta. Almost 20 years of age, he is one of the youngest Full Members of the Magicians’ Society Ring 202. From a very tender age he started to show a very keen interest in magic and in fact he had his first experience on the stage when only eight years old. From then on, he never looked back. He became a Provisional Member at the age of 15 years and after working hard and with the valuable help of other well-established magicians he passed the test for Full Membership in December 1997. He is also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He is gaining a lot of experience by performing private and public shows especially for children. He also took part in the Illusion 2000 show held in Rabat by performing a routine with multiplying balls, colour-changing and vanishing canes, floating ball and ended with a Steinmeyer illusion – Lady in the Puzzle which was very well received by the large audience present. Nowadays he is also constructing big illusions and small props for himself and others. The Art of Magic has become his number one hobby and his ambition is to reach the standard attained by his fellow Professional Magicians. Brian Role` is the first Maltese Illusionist to perform live abroad in Mexico for 250,000 people during 35 large illusion shows with world famous female illusionist Julia Christiie. Although Brian's is a fresh face it also is a very familiar one in the world of Magic as he is constantly performing for TV, stage productions, clubs, promotional functions, table magic at various functions and children’s magic. Brian’s style to the art of Magic & Illusions is spectacular, fast, visual, exciting and entertaining. Much of his success was mainly due to his passion to assist backstage with some of the best magicians on the island and with international names. He recently was the stage manager of a huge local dance and music production and at the moment Brian is using his experience and knowledge to produce one of the most spectacular illusion-shows ever to be seen on our islands. Alfred is known in Malta for his ability to use a new way of presenting magic. He is known as the Balancing Magician as he uses balancing and magic at the same time. He is well known for his frequent Television appearances. Alfred was the first Maltese to take part in a circus in 1978. Later on he joined two other circuses the first one in Pomezia and the second in Florence in Italy. In 1993 he presented his magic to about seven different schools in Coventry and in Manchester. His aims are to create a better atmosphere in the Ring and to promote new ideas. He has a lot of magic friends in many countries. He is one who entertains all kinds of children, grown ups and even special children.

At the age of 19 he joined the Magicians’ Society. Simultaneously he was attending a five-year Drama Course in the National Theatre Academy of Dramatic Arts, which enhanced his ability of presenting magic. He also participated in several magic Conventions in the United Kingdom, and performed some toutines in Germany and Russia. Together with his wife Rose he is currently performing General and Visual magic and Illusions in major areas and venues in Malta and Gozo to all types of audiences in private and also public functions

Vanni Pule` has been a member of Ring 202 since 1969. He was President for 15 years and Secretary for many years too. He is currently territorial Vice-President of the I.B.M. and Gold Star member of the Inner Magic Circle. His magical performances are very versatile but his speciality is Cabaret and Illusions. For over thirty years he has appeared regularly on television and presented hundreds of magical effects. His original Magical ideas have been published in "The Linking Ring", "Abracadabra", "Magigram" and "Info Magazine".

Robert Ellul started out as a magician and he quickly became very popular in the children's parties circuits mostly because of his vivacious and colourful act. But then he started including games in his repertoire and eventually balloon modelling. He realised the potential of balloon modelling and developed it to perfection. Though he lives in Malta, which is a very small island, be was brave enough to leave an accountancy job and opted for a full time profession in children's entertainment. After a few years he realised that he had made no mistake. He has appeared regularly in a children's television series as a balloon artist. When he is not busy doing private children parties he is doing balloon shows in shopping centres, fairs, festas and even footbal games. When he rarely has some free time he is to be found as a street performer in Malta's central shopping street in Valletta where he is known as the Balloon Man. .Last year Robert performed in the Children's Showtime at the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne, at the I.B.M. British Ring convention. He also won the 1998 Balloon Busker Award at a European Balloon Symposium in Portugal.

Zowwi is the person who thrills children with his funny routines. Joe Demanuele was I.B.M. Ring 202 Malta President for the past four years. He managed to help many magicians in building some illusions. Being an engineer Joe is very good at fixing props and creating new tricks. Zowwi is his stage name and is one of the leading children's magicians on the island. Together with his wife Monica they attended several magic conventions where they met many famous magicians. Together with his committee Joe organised two Illusion shows which helped our members to polish their spots.
