Alexis is sitting in her hotel room and who shows up but Helena.

Alexis: Helena, what are you doing here?

Helena: I came to see you, Alexis.

Alexis: Well, what do you want?!

Helena: I know who you are Alexis, you better do what I say or else.

Alexis: Or else what?

Helena: Just do what I say and you’re safe

Alexis: So what do I have to do?

Helena: You have to kill Stefan so I can rule the Cassadine family

(Helena hands Alexis a gun)

Alexis: (very upset) Stefan has been like a brother to me. I will not kill him.

Helena: Well, then. (Helena goes to get the gun out of Alexis’ hand and by accident pushes her. Alexis hits her head on the coffee table and falls to the ground. This causes Helena to flee but she runs into Ned on the way out. The door is left open so Ned walks right in.)

Ned: Alexis, who was that lady? Alexis, where are you?

(Ned walks over the couch and notices Alexis laying on the floor)

Ned: Alexis!!! Wake up. (kisses her and she does not move)

(Ned grabs his phone and dials 911. Then he calls Monica and Alan who are downstairs for a Doctors convention)

Monica: Monica Quartermaine

Ned: (in a panic voice) Hello. Monica. I am upstairs in Alexis’ room and need your help. She has a huge gash on her head and she is not responding to me. Room 618.

Monica: Ok Ned!! We’ll be right up. (turns to Alan) Alan we have to go upstairs and help Ned.

Alan: What about the conference?

Monica: A life is more important. Alexis Davis has been hurt.

(they run to the evaluator and they go to the room)

Monica: What happened?

Ned: I found her this way. When I was coming up here I ran into a woman who came out of this room.

Alan: Did you call 911?

Ned: Yes I did.

Monica: I need a towel to stop the bleeding.

Ned: Here (hands the towel to Monica)

Monica: We have to get her to the hospital as soon as possible, it could be serious.

(Ned’s face has a very worried look on it. EMT just entered the room)

Monica: I am Dr. Quartermaine from GH. We don’t know what happened but she has a major laceration to her head.

(EMT load Alexis on to the stretcher and wheel her to the ambulance)

Monica: You go with her Ned. We’ll follow in our car.

Hospital

(EMT rush Alexis in and Ned is holding her hand)

EMT: Not responding. Vitals are declining, and she has a huge laceration near her left eye.

(Bobbie comes over and realizes who it is)

Bobbie: Oh no!! I have to call Stefan.

Ned: No you can’t. They are no longer talking to each other. They had a falling out.

Bobbie: What??

Ned: It’s along story Bobbie.

(Bobbie leaves to see what she can do and she secretly calls Nikolas)

(Monica comes out of the ER to talk with Ned)

Monica: Alexis, is in ICU. She will be moved to a private room in a while. She is in a coma with a huge cut on her head right near her left eye. We have no idea when she’s wake up but once she is moved you can talk to her. It is a good idea for you to talk to her, she’ll know someone is there for her. Ned, it will be all right.

(Monica hugs Ned)

(As Monica leaves Nikolas comes rushing in)

Ned: Nikolas what are you doing here?

Nikolas: Bobbie called me and told me what happened.

Nikolas: Mr. Ashton what happened to Alexis?

Ned: Nikolas, I don’t know. I found her like this in her hotel room.

Nikolas: Well, I better go. If Uncle sees me here, he will disown me. Bye Mr. Ashton.

Ned: Bye Nikolas

(Monica comes to see Ned; Nikolas is leaving)

Monica: Ned, It’s all right for you to see her.

(Ned walks over to her room; Monica is right behind him. Ned sees her lying there hooked up to machines and starts crying)

Ned: Alexis, I love you so much. (a tear runs down his cheek). Please come back to me.

(Ned leaves the room and starts bawling like a baby)

(Monica comes over to him and gives him a hug)

Monica: I know it is hard to see someone you love like that. Please come home with Alan and me?

Ned: Ok.

(Monica and Ned leave to go find Alan and then go home)

Seven days later

(Ned is siting on Alexis’s hospital bed)

Ned: Alexis, it’s been a week. I miss staring into your beautiful eyes. Please wake up.

(Alexis’ eyes flutter a little. Ned gets very excited and he calls Monica.)

Ned: Monica please to Alexis’ room. I think she is waking up.

Monica: I’ll be right there.

(they hang up)

Ned: Alexis, Monica is coming.

(Monica comes in)

Monica: Alexis, Can you hear me?

(Monica takes Alexis’ hand)

Monica: If you can hear me, squeeze my hand.

(Alexis squeezes Monica’s hand) Ned: Hello Honey!! (Kisses her on her forehead)

Monica: Well, I will leave you two alone

Ned: Thanks, Monica

Monica: Call if you need anything else

(Monica leaves)

(Alexis opens her eyes all the way)

Alexis: Ned, what’s wrong? I cannot see out of my left eye.

Ned: No, nothing is wrong. You have stitches and they but a bandage over it. So how do you feel?

Alexis: Very tired and my body aches.

. (Ned gives Alexis a kiss)

Ned: I bet you missed that.

Alexis: Yes I did.

Ned: You better get some sleep Alexis.

Alexis: NO!! don’t leave me. Please stay here.

Ned: Ok!! I will stay.

(Ned takes Alexis’ hand)

(Alexis falls asleep)

Ned: I am so lucky to have you, Alexis.

(Alexis is awaking up and Ned is already awake)

Ned: Hello sunshine!!

Alexis: Hello Ned.

Ned: Monica was just in here. She told me that you only have to stay until tomorrow.

Alexis: Great, but where will I go?

Ned: Alexis, you can come home with me.

Alexis: Thanks Ned.

Ned: What happened?

(Alexis tells him what happened)

Ned: Helena will pay for this.

Alexis: No, Ned I don’t want you dead. Helena will do anything to anyone who gets in her way. I love you too much.

Ned: I love you too.

(Monica enters the room)

Monica: Hello Alexis. Ned you look so bad. Did you sleep here?

Ned: Yes, Monica. I was not going to leave Alexis' side.

Monica: Alexis, we have to make sure you’re all right. Ned do you mind leaving?

Ned: No, I don’t. I am going home. See you later beautiful

(gives Alexis a kiss)

Alexis: Bye Ned

(Ned leaves)

Alexis: (to Monica, while being checked out) I am so lucky to have Ned.

Monica: No, he is lucky to have you. You’ll be able to go home tomorrow.

Alexis: Finally!!!

(Monica leaves)

Later that Night

(Ned opens the door; carrying a basket)

Ned: Hello!!

Alexis: (sees the basket) What did you bring?

Ned: (laughing) some edible food

Alexis: very funny, Mr. Ashton

(Ned hands the food to Alexis and sits down on the foot of the bed)

Ned: What time do you get out of here tomorrow?

Alexis: 10:00 AM

(It’s 11PM)

Ned: I better go, I will pick you up at 10AM

(gives Alexis a kiss)

Ned: Get some sleep
