About a 11 months later

(one month before Alexis and Ned’s wedding)

Alexis is secretly at the hospital because she has not been feeling well

Monica is with Alexis since Alexis trusts Monica

Monica: Alexis, I would like to perform a pregnancy test?

Alexis: What???

Monica: I think you are pregnant and I want to make sure.

Alexis: (depressed) Whatever Monica. Go ahead.

(performs the test)

Monica: I need you to come by tomorrow and I will let you know the results.

Alexis: See you tomorrow.

(Alexis leaves the hospital)

(Alexis goes home and is visibly upset when Ned comes home)

Ned: What’s wrong Alexis?

Alexis: Nothing.

Ned: Don’t lie to me, honey. (gives Alexis a very passionate kiss and her body goes limb)

Alexis: (lying) Helena called me and told me to have a nice life while I can before she kills me.

Ned: Helena?? I thought she died when Stefan shot her.

Alexis: No. She’s still living. All the luck I have.

Ned: (sits down next to Alexis) Come here. (Ned holds her for five minutes)

Alexis: Thank you Ned.

Ned: Look is getting late. Why don’t we go to bed?

Alexis: Ned I love you. Thank you for protecting me.

(Ned and Alexis get ready for bed and Alexis is worried about the pregnancy test)

Next morning

Ned: Wake up, Alexis.

Alexis: I am awake. Just pondering certain events in my life.

Ned: Would you tell me?

Alexis: No. I would like to keep some of them to me.

Ned: Time to go to ELQ. (Alexis decided to work for ELQ since she is engaged to Ned)

Alexis: I need to take a personal day again. I am still feeling a little sick still.

Ned: We need our attorney, honey? Promise me you will come tomorrow.

Alexis: I promise.

(Ned kisses Alexis and gets dressed)

Ned: Feel better Alexis.

Alexis: I am sure I will. Bye.

(Ned leaves the Gatehouse)

Alexis goes to the hospital

(She goes to Monica’s office and knocks on the door)

Monica: Come in.

Alexis: Hello Monica

Monica: Hello Alexis. How are you feeling?

Alexis: (snapping) Fine. (sweet voice) Sorry Monica. Do you have the results?

Monica: They’re right here.

(Alexis takes a seat)

Alexis: Just tell me am I pregnant?

Monica: Yes you are. Three months.

(Alexis starts crying)

Alexis: I have to tell Ned but I am scared he will run. We’re getting married in a month.

Monica: You should tell him. I think Ned would be thrilled with becoming dad. If Brooke Lynn was still in Port Charles he would have been a great father.

(Alexis gets up to leave)

Monica: If you want I could go with you when you tell Ned.

Alexis: No I better do it on my own.

Monica: See you later.

(Alexis leaves)

(Alexis is getting on the elevator and Ned notices her)

Ned: Hello Alexis.

Alexis: (startled) Ned.

Ned: What are you doing here?

Alexis: (lying) Looking for Stefan.

Ned: Hey…You work for ELQ now.

Alexis: This is my floor see you tonight Ned.

(gets out elevator and leaves because she wants to escape Ned’s questions)

(Alexis goes back to the Gatehouse and hears a knock at the door)

Helena: Hello Natasha.

Alexis: I thought you were dead.

Helena: Sorry to disappoint you. That no good son of mine is going to pay.

Alexis: I would be careful what you want. I made up with Stefan.

Helena: How dare you!

Alexis: What do you want? I am waiting for Ned to come home.

Helena: Just wanted to let you know that I am stay in town and I will be at the Port Charles Hotel. I don’t know how long. Have a great night, Natasha.

(Helena leaves)

(Alexis goes to the couch and sits there and cries)

(At that moment, Ned walks in)

Ned: What’s wrong, honey? (gives her a kiss)

Alexis: Helena came to pay me a visit. She is staying in Port Charles and I am not sure for how long.

Ned: Oh honey!! I will protect you.

Alexis: Ned, I also have something else that is important. Please sit down.

(Ned sits on the couch and Alexis gets up; there is silence for 5 minutes)

Ned: I don’t like this silence. What’s wrong Alexis?

Alexis: (sits down) Ned. I am 3 months pregnant. (cries)

Ned: (happy) Honey that is great. Why were you scared to tell me?

Alexis: I thought you might want to run.

Ned: me run? No way. Is that why I saw you in the hospital today?

Alexis: (looks at the floor) Yes it was. I was with Monica this morning. At least I am happy that your happy.

Ned: Alexis I love you and no matter what happens I will always love you.

Alexis: Thanks Ned. It’s getting late time to go to bed. (gives Ned a kiss and goes to bed)

(Ned is still sitting on the couch pondering fatherhood hoping that Alexis won’t leave him ever)

1 month after Alexis’ hospital visit

the day before Ned and Alexis’ Wedding

It’s 3PM and Ned is just waking up

Ned: Alexis, wake up. It’s 3.

Alexis: Ned, leave me alone.

Ned: You know that we have to go to the rehearsal and dinner at 4PM.

Alexis: So. Let me sleep until 3:30.

Ned: Oh no!! I don’t think so.

(Ned picks up a sleeping Alexis and walks towards the shower)

(Ned places Alexis is the bathtub)

Ned: You are going to wake up right now, Alexis.

(Ned turns on the shower)

Alexis: Ned!!! (opens her eyes) You are going to pay for this.

(raises her hand to give Ned a playful slap)

(Ned grabs her hand and pulls her towards him)

(Ned kisses Alexis)

Alexis: I wish we could stay here all day but Look at the time.. our families will be here soon. It’s 3:30PM.

(Ned helps Alexis out of the shower)

Ned: What are you wearing?

Alexis: A short red dress.

(Alexis goes into the bathroom, put it on and comes out)

Ned: Wow! Alexis, you’re sexy.

Alexis: Thanks Ned. You look good too.

(the doorbell rings)

Ned: They are here!!

Alexis: Oh, help us. Quartermaines and Cassadines together. Just shoot me.

Ned: (gives her a stern look) Don’t even joke Alexis.

(opens the door and Stefan and Nikolas and the Quartermaines are standing there)

In the Quartermaine’s backyard

After the rehearsal and they are ready for dinner

Ned: Please have a seat. Thank you for coming.

(everyone sits down)

(they are served dinner and Ned hears Edward)

Edward: Why do we have to have the wedding here? Cassadines on our property. And why does Ned have to marry a Cassadine?

(Ned looks at Alexis and rolls his eyes)

(Alexis giggles)

Lila: Edward, would you please be quiet. Alexis is a lovely woman and I am glad that Ned is marrying her.

Ned: Thank you Lila. We have something important to tell you?

(Ned stands up and so does Alexis)

Edward: Tell us now.

Ned: Would you like to tell them Alexis or should I?

Alexis: (giggling) Be my guest.

Ned: We are expecting a baby in 5 months.

Alan: What??

Edward: A Cassadine-Quartermaine baby?

(Monica is sitting at the table smiling since she already knew what was going to happen)

Ned: We found out last month and we thought it would be great to tell our families tonight

. Nikolas: Congratulations!! I guess I will have a cousin. (gets up and hugs Alexis and shakes Ned’s hand)

Edward: Not another grandchild in the family.

Lila: Would you please stop?

Edward: Yes dear.

(they finish eating and everyone leaves)

Alexis: I am so tired. I am glad that is over. Tomorrow is going to be a great day.

(Alexis and Ned get into bed)

Ned: Do you realize that this is our last night as a unmarried couple?

Alexis: Yes Ned. Time to go to sleep.
