Back at ELQ offices

(Ned helps Alexis back to her office)

Alexis: Thanks Ned. (gives him a kiss)

Ned: See you later.

Alexis: Bye Ned.

(Alexis does all of her work and then decides to call Stefan)

Stefan: Stefan Cassadine

Alexis: Hello Stefan. It’s Alexis. How are you?

Stefan: I am fine, Alexis.

Alexis: I just wanted to share some good news with you. I am having twins I went to see Monica. Ned fainted.

Stefan: Congratulations! You and Ned will have to come over for dinner some time this week.

Alexis: I will ask Ned and let you know. I have to go.

Stefan: See you soon, Alexis. Nikolas misses you.

Alexis: Bye Stefan.

(Alexis hangs up the phone)

(It is time to leave ELQ and go home)

(Alexis is waiting for Ned)

(Ned walks in the office)

Ned: Hello beautiful

Alexis: Hello there. Stefan wants us to come over for dinner some time this week. I told him I will check with you.

Ned: Whatever day you want to go is fine with me.

Alexis: Thanks I will call him later.

(Ned and Alexis leave the office and go to the Gatehouse)

The Gatehouse

(Ned and Alexis are sitting on the sofa)

(Alexis looks ill)

Ned: Alexis are you feeling all right?

Alexis: I am fine. I feel a little nauseous. I think I will go to bed after I call Stefan

Ned: Do you need anything?

Alexis: Not right this minute.

(Alexis picks up the phone to call Stefan)

Alexis: Hello Stefan. It’s me….We can come tomorrow night if you want…Yes…Bye..See you soon.

(Alexis hangs up the phone)

Alexis: Ned, Can you help me into bed.

(Ned helps Alexis up and helps her into the bedroom)

(Alexis lies down after putting on pajamas)

(Ned gets in bed next to her and he starts stroking her cheek)

Ned: I love you. You are the greatest thing that happened to me. I cannot wait for the children.

(Ned keeps rambling on and Alexis has fallen asleep)

(Ned puts Alexis’ head on his chest and falls asleep too)

In the morning

(Ned is awake but he does not get up because Alexis is still sleeping)

(Ned knows he has to go to work)

Ned: Time to wake up gorgeous.

(Alexis opens her eyes and is greeting by a passionate kiss)

Alexis: Hello. I am staying home today.

Ned: If you want I can stay home with you.

Alexis: No if you have to go work go.

Ned: I don’t have to go but I am sure Edward will call me.

Alexis: Give me a kiss. (Ned kisses Alexis)

Ned: What do you want to do today?

Alexis: Stay in bed with you. Don’t forget we are going to Wyndemere tonight.

Ned: Don’t worry. I didn’t forget.

Alexis: What do you want to talk about?

Ned: Baby names??

Alexis: I know and I have thinking about it.

(It is 11AM and Ned’s phone rings)

Ned: How much to you want to bet that it is Grandfather?

Alexis: You could not pick it up.

Ned: If I don’t I am sure Grandfather will come down here.

Alexis: Answer it.

(Ned picks up the cell phone)

Ned: Hello…Yes..I know I am not at work…Alexis is not at work either…She has to take it easy…Grandfather don’t give me a hard time….Don’t you dare come down here …Bye Grandfather

(Ned hangs up the phone)

Alexis: Edward??

Ned: You bet. He wanted to know why we were not at work. He even threatened to come down here and I told him not to bother.

(Ned and Alexis talk all afternoon about work, children’s names, and their feelings)

(It’s 5PM and Ned and Alexis are getting ready for dinner with Stefan and Nikolas)

(Ned is in a nice suit and Alexis is in white dress)

Ned: Time to go. May I escort you to Wyndemere Mrs. Ashton? (puts out his hand)

Alexis: I would be honored. (takes his hand)

(They get into the limo and they arrive at Wyndemere)

Wyndemere

(Ned knocks on the door and Mrs. Landsbury opens the door)

Mrs. Landsbury: Mr. and Mrs. Ashton, come in. May I take your coats?

(Ned and Alexis hand her the coats and they walk into the living room)

Alexis: Hello Stefan!! How are you? Where is Nikolas?

Stefan: Nikolas is out riding. He will be here momentarily. It is nice to see you Ned.

Ned: The same to you.

Stefan: Have a seat. How are you feeling Alexis?

Alexis: I feel all right but I have been sick lately. We almost did not make it tonight.

Stefan: You could have rescheduled with us. I would not have minded . Nikolas would have understood also.

(Nikolas enters the room)

Nikolas: Alexis!! Ned.. Alexis I heard that I will have twin cousins. Do you know what sex they are?

(Nikolas hugs Alexis and shakes Ned’s hand)

Alexis: You will be having a girl cousin and a boy cousin.

Nikolas: (to Ned) Have you thought of any names yet?

Ned: No, but we are thinking about it.

Alexis: How was your ride?

Nikolas: It was great as usually. Sheba is a great horse.

Alexis: How’s school?

Nikolas: Fine. I am thinking about being tutored again.

(Mrs. Landsbury enters the room)

Mrs. Landsbury: Dinner is ready.

(Everyone gets up except Alexis)

Alexis: (laughing) I need some help.

(Nikolas goes over to help Alexis up)

Alexis: Thank you Nikolas.

(they enter the dining room and sit down)

(They talk during the meal)

Alexis: Oh!

Nikolas and Stefan: (at the same time) What’s wrong?

Alexis: Nothing one of them is kicking again. Stefan come here.

(Stefan walks over to Alexis and she puts his hand on her stomach. The kid kicks again)

Stefan: That is so cool.

Alexis: I never heard you speak like that.

(Stefan takes his hand off her stomach)

Alexis: Nikolas do you want to feel?

(Nikolas walks over and he feels the kicking)

Nikolas: (to Alexis’ stomach) Hello cousins. I cannot wait to see you. We will have so much fun. I will teach you everything you ever wanted to know.

(Nikolas sits back down at the table)

(After they finished eating they go back into the living room)

Alexis: We better be leaving. I am not feeling to well. (she looks pale)

Ned: Ok. Thank you Stefan and Nikolas. You have to come to the Gatehouse for dinner.

Stefan: I will be looking forward to it.

(Alexis hugs Stefan and Nikolas and then leaves with Ned)

Back at the Gatehouse

Alexis: I enjoyed myself tonight.

Ned: I know. I think Nikolas will like have cousins around.

Alexis: I think he will teach them everything. How to ride a horse and how to speak Russian and Greek.

Ned: And my family can teach them how to be greedy (starts laughing)

Alexis: How about we raise them as Ashtons. Not Cassadines or Quartermaines.

Ned: Agreed (shakes her hand and kisses it;working up to her mouth)

(Alexis breaks the kiss and Ned pouts)

Alexis: I better go to bed, if I want to go back to work tomorrow Ned: Here let me help you.

(Ned helps Alexis up and grabs her)

Ned: May I have quick dance with you?

(turns on the music and holds out his hand)

Alexis: Sure. (takes his hand)

(they start dancing)

Alexis: This is great. (She puts her head on his shoulder)

(music finishes playing and they keep dancing; Ned kisses Alexis and she gets weak in the knees))

(It’s midnight)

Alexis: Look at the time. We better go to sleep.

(Ned and Alexis go to the bedroom and go to sleep)
