3 hours later

Ned and Alexis are sitting on a couch in the ELQ jet.

N- You know we are lucky that Grandfather let us use the jet.

A- We are? We could have taken a passenger flight if he hadn't.

Ned moves closer to Alexis.

N- I know, but this nicer. I mean, it's private and there aren't any other passengers.

A- I highly doubt that you would have noticed any of the passengers on a commuter flight.

N- You think you're that fascinating, do you, counsellor?

A- Well, now that you mention it, I do. Why else would you be here?

N- What if I said it was for great sex?

A- I wouldn't believe it because you could probably have great sex with another woman.

N- Okay, rule that out. What if I said it was because you are so beautiful?

A- There are plenty of beautiful women in the world.

N- What if I said that I'm here because I really like you and I think that you are a fascinating person?

A- That I'd believe.

N- Good, because it's true. Now, Lexi, why don't you tell me why you're here?

A- What if I said it was for great sex?

N- I'd be flatterd. But besides that.

A- I wanted to see what romance was like.

N- And if you liked it. And if you wanted to fall in love.

A- If you knew, why did you ask?

N- Do you want to fall in love?

A- I do. Do you?

Alexis is scared of how vulnerable she feels right now.

N- I already did. You ought to let your guard down more often; it's very appealing.

A- It is?

N- Yes. Almost too appealing.

A- What is that supposed to mean?

N- That I want to make love to you again.

Alexis is now more scared than ever. Maybe it is because of how intense the moment is. Maybe it is because they have always just done it without saying in words that they wanted to.

A- (small smile) In a plane?

N- Why not? There's a bedroom in the back.

A- Can't you wait until we get to the hotel?

N- No, Lexi, I can't.

A- (bigger smile) Even if I can promise a better time?

He reaches over and unbuttons a few of her top blouse buttons.

N- Stand up.

A- Why?

N- Just do it.

So she stands up. Ned reaches behind her, picks her up, and carries her into the bedroom.

A- (giggling) Uh-oh.

He follows her down onto the bed where he put her. This time, Alexis knew what making love really meant.
