Ned wakes up, looking at the clock. 6:45 pm. What were they going to do earlier? Oh, yeah. Go to the jacuzzi. He smiles to himself as he remembers why they weren't in the jacuzzi. Alexis feels Ned move but doesn't open her eyes.
A- Ned?
N- Hi.
He kisses her.
A- Hi, yourself. Mmm, I like that kind of greeting.
Ned kisses her again.
A- Even better. What were we going to do before we... before our attentions were diverted?
N- Your attention might have been diverted, but mine wasn't. Anyways, we were going to go to the jacuzzi.
A- Do you still want to go?
N- Sure.
They find their bathing suits and towels and head for the jacuzzi (which, coincedentally, is in the same room as the pool). While they are walking by the pool, Ned looks at Alexis, who looks back at him.
A- No, Ned, don't you even think about it. NED!
She screams as he pushes her in.
A- You're just lucky that I can swim. Will you help me out?
Her face has a look of pure innocence on it.
N- Nope.
A- Please.
N- Well...OK.
He reaches his hand out and she grabs it and pulls him in.
A- How do you like it?
N- Good, I'm closer to you
. Alexis blushes.
N- Well, well. The pretty woman can blush.
A- Don't get used to it.
N- I'll race you to the other end.
A-OK. What stroke?
N- Freestyle.
A- You loss. But let's make this interesting. Whoever loses gets to buy the other person dinner.
N- Fine. I hope you're prepared to pay.
A- (smiling) You wish.
N- (grinning) Want me to tell you what I do wish?
A- I think I'll pass. Right now I want to race you.
N- Ready, on your mark, get set, go!
Ned takes the lead. He slows down when he sees Alexis behind him. But she speeds up and overtakes him.
A- Looks like you're paying. You shouldn't be so smug.
N- Guess not. But I don't mind treating a beautiful woman to dinner.
Alexis is blushing again.
N- You know, a blush is really becoming on you, counsellor.
A- Thanks. Let's go sit in the jacuzzi.
Ned follows Alexis out of the pool.
A- Ahh, it is so warm in here.
N- Yeah, the temp of the water is just right.
Alexis leans up against Ned. He puts his arm around her. A- (kind of sighing) Mmm. You know, I really needed this break.
N- So did I. All work and no play isn't fun.
A- I don't think you'll have to worry about that anymore.
N- Does that mean that you'll be able to come out and play more often?
A- Anytime you want.
N- Sounds promising.
A- (smiling up at Ned) It is
.
