Driver- Sir, we've reached the airport.
N- Just a minute, please. Lexi?
A- I heard.
They get dressed quickly and start to walk to the plane.
Pilot- Please buckle your seat belts.
A- I do not want to go back to Port Charles. Well, not just yet anyways.
N-I don't either. Maybe we can run away.
A- To Bali?
N- To Bali, Tahiti, you name it.
A- Your family will need you.
N- Why do you have to be such a realist?
A- (laughing) Because if I wasn't, I'd never get anything done.
N- Grandfather probably wishes I was more of a realist last week. I didn't get anything done.
A- Last week was an exception because I didn't get anything done, either.
N- What do you have to get done?
A- I'm looking for office space so I can open a private practice.
N- Any place in particular?
A- Maybe in the downtown area. It's real convenient, so it's preferable.
N- The ELQ building is downtown.
A- I know.
N- That means we'd be working in close proximity to each other.
A- Is there a problem that I'm unaware of?
N- There could be.
A- And what problem would that be?
N- That I might have to drop by your office every so often. If I did that, I'd never get any work done.
A- Simple solution. Don't stop by.
N- Aw, now you don't really mean that.
A- No, I don't.
So they banter on like that for a couple of hours. Alexis looks at her watch.
A- We should be in Port Charles by now.
N- And we would be, too, but I'm not taking you to Port Charles.
A- What are you doing? Kidnapping me?
N- That's a good idea. I wish I had though of that. No, I'm taking you to spend Christmas in New York City. You said you didn't want to go home yet.
A- When I lived here, I never really celebrated the holidays.
N- I figured that. So, would you like to celebrate Christmas with me?
A- You don't even have to ask. Of course I do. I really miss NYC.
Ned had already booked a suite at the Plaza for them, so they didn't have to worry about finding a hotel.
A- Let's go to Central Park.
N- It's freezing out there.
A- So? There will be a ton of people out anyways. Plus, Central Park is really pretty after it has snowed out.
N- Maybe.
She takes his hand.
A- I'll make it worth your while. I mean, we'll need a way to warm up after we get back. And I'm sure we can think of something together.
N- You have a knack for making irresistible.
A- So you'll come?
N- Only if you keep your word.
A- I can assure you that I am a woman of my word.
N- Want to seal that with a kiss?
A- You bet.
After they kiss, they leave for Central Park.
