A day later. Alexis walks into her suite after a long day at work. She had only planned to stay aat the hospital until 4:30, but she had so much to do there. She notices a folded up piece of paper on her coffee table and picks it up. It reads:
Dear Alexis,
Please meet me at the catacombs at 6:30 tonight.
Yours truly,
Ned
Alexis reread the note. Something didn't seem right. Call it e.s.p. or a sixth sense, but she had an ominous feeling. She looked at the top of the paper and saw a computer print. It said 2/1/98.
A- NOOOO! It was the date, but it was printed European style. Why would Ned write the date that way? He wouldn't. Ned wouldn't write the date like that but...but Helena would. Even in America. Alexis was wondering why Ned hadn't called yesterday, but she had chalked it up to one of those guy things. Now she knew the truth. Helena had kidnapped him to get to her. Well, Helena had made a mistake. Either that, or she wanted Alexis to know it was her. She had to see someone before she went to the catacombs. Alexis put on her coat and gloves and made a last minute decision before she left. She walked to the desk and opened a draw. She took out a box and unlocked it. She checked to make sure that the gun was loaded, turned off her lights, and locked the door.
Ned wakes up and looks around. It's dark, cold, and his wrists and ankles are tied to a chair. He remembers what happened at the gatehouse with Helena. He's surprised that he isn't gagged.
N- (aloud, to himself) Where am I?
Helena walks in, carrying a lantern. She puts an old, tattered blanket over him.
N- Your generousity is moving. I see you actually have a little heart.
H- Alexis should be here any minute. I don't know why you insist on having a whore like her in your bed.
N- She's a hell of a lot classier than you!
H- Don't make me laugh.
L- Natasha. I knew ya missed me.
A- Don't flatter yourself. I have this problem. Could you help me? L- Aw, Natasha. You came to me for help. I'm moved. What about that Quatermaine blood-sucker you call a boyfriend?
A- His name is Ned.
L- I'm all ears, babe.
A- I think Helena kidnapped Ned to get to me. And I think I know where he is.
She shows Luke the note Helena left.
L- Well, looks like the old bat is losing her touch. She had a nice one, too.
A- (looking disgusted at his last comment) So?
L- I'd be an idiot to pass up the chance to stick it to Mama Cass. Here's the game plan, woman.
Luke proceeds to tell Alexis exactly how to give Helena what she deserves.
