Brenda's Decision-part 76

**JAX'S PENTHOUSE**
Brenda and Jax walk down the hall into the kitchen were Jax's mom and dad are sitting. You hear his dad teasing Brenda about her sleeping for two days.

Back in the guestroom-where Brenda was sleeping-Jerry whispers to himself, "this is what you get for hating me, brother." He searches through Brenda's bag and then goes in the bathroom connected, he pulls out the bottle with her medicine in it. Jerry opens the bottle and places one in his hand and then pulls something out of the zip-lock bag and compares it, "Perfect." Jerry then spills Brenda's pills in the toliet and puts the pills in the zip-lock bag in her bottle and smiles, then goes back in the guestroom returning the bottle to its correct place. Jerry then picks up the pillow, that Brenda had been laying on, and smells it. It lays it down softly and then turns around and looks out the window.

"Jerry?" Brenda walks in, Jerry jumps, "Is it snowing again?"

Jerry smiles, "Um, no."

"Oh," Brenda picks up her bag and carries it in the restroom with her, she begans searching through it.

"What are you doing?" Jerry askes walking in the restroom.

"Oh, I need to take my medicine." She pulls the bottle out and smiles, "There it is." She stands up and fill a plastic cup with water, she then takes a pill out of her bottle. She places the pill at the back of her thoart and takes a drink of water. While she is doing that she notices Jerry staring at her, as she looks at the mirror. She slowly spins around, "What?" Brenda questions. Jerry reaches up and accidently knocks the cup over from her hand, spilling it all over her t-shirt. Jerry grabs a towel quickly and helps her dry.

Jax pops in, "WHAT'S GOING ON?" Jax snatches the towel from his brother and stands behind Brenda.

"Nothing," Brenda says not smiling, "He.. um.. accidently knocked my cup and there was water and it spilled on me."

"Oh," Jax replys hugging Brenda from behind and glancing at his brother. A smile forms on jax's face, "Is there anything else you want to do?"

Jerry smiles, "Yeah actually, I do. I'd like to take Brenda away from you and make her fall in love with me."

Jax laughs, thinking his brother is only joking, "You still have that sense of humor, don't you brother?" Jax turns around and grabs Brenda's bottle and puts the cap on.

Jerry's smile turn more devlish, "No Seriously." Brenda has a serious look on her face, not sure what to believe.

"Come on, Brenda. Your supper is ready." Jax guides Brenda past Jerry.

As they are both out of sight Jerry looks in the mirror from the door and whispers, "You'll find out soon enough."


Brenda's Decision-part 77
(1 week later)

Brenda, Jax, and his parents arrive in the door. "To bad Jerry left this morning, he missed all the fun today." Brenda says really hyper-like.

Jax's mom & Dad look at Jax with concern about Brenda's hyperness, Jax notices. He grabs her arm softly, "Brenda? Are you okay? You Tired?"

Brenda Kisses him, "I'm fine. Actually I'm great, its been ages since I felt this good. Thanks for take me sking, I need a drink." She walks into the kitchen and opens the fridge.

Jax smiles, "No problem, BRENDA." He yells into the kitchen. The phone rings, his mom picks it up then hands it to Jax, "It's for you, its V." Brenda listens.

Jax takes it slowly, "Hey V, what's up? What?" silence "This morning, are you sure? thanks.. I'm right on it." Jax hangs up the phone and looks at his parents.

"What's Wrong Jax?" His dad asks with a worried look.

Jax sighs, "Jerry's plane went down in the mountains." Brenda is listening from the doorway to the kitchen. "They asked if I want to help search for him..." Jax glances up and sees Brenda standing there, "I said I would." Brenda smiles slightly.

His parents, "I want to go with.

"um, okay." Jax glances at Brenda, "You ready?"

Brenda walks over and sits on the coach and takes a sip of her water bottle, "Um, why don't you all just go ahead. I'm really tired, and I would just be in the way."

"well okay, I'll have my phone if you need anything--CALL ME!" He kisses her and all three leave, leaving Brenda alone at her own free will.

**JASON'S PENTHOUSE**

(phone rings) Jason picks it up, "Yeah?"

Carly walks down with the baby, "Jason?" Jason askes her to wait a min.

JASON: "You've got to be kidding?" Carly sits down listening carefully. "Damn-it, yeah I will." Jason slams the phone down pissed.

Carlys rocks Micheal, "What's going on?"

Jason looks at her and the baby then sighs, "I made a promise to Sonny."

CARLY: "oh, its about the job, kay."

Jason shakes his head, "Actually its about Brenda. She's in trouble and I promised I'd protect her for him. And the bodyguard I hired was killed.. you'll never believe by who."

Carly laughs, "Brenda?"

Jason doesn't laugh, but instead gives her a serious look, "No, Jerry Jacks. Turns out he has been working for Miranda, but feel in love with Brenda in the process. Also he has been stalking her," Jason sighs remembering something, "I should of realized someone was after her."

"How?"

"One day I saw her in Victoria Secret and her phone rang.." Jason squints his eyes remembering, "She picked it up and then her face turned pale, and she looked really frightened."

Carly smiles at the baby, "Then why didn't you say anything to her?"

"One because she hates me since he left. and Two, Because she wasn't or ISN'T suppose to know I'm protecting her."

Carly notices Jason putting on his coat, "Where are you going?"

"To protect Brenda. She's at Jax's parents cabin. ANd Jerry's plane went down, but Jerry isn't on that plane. But Jax's parents and him went looking for Jerry, thinking he was on the plane, and Brenda is all alone at the cabin."

"WHAT?"

"Yeah and Jerry is going after Brenda now."

"How do you know all this?"

Jason smiles, "Max ran into Miranda today, lets just say she's all tyed up." Jason smiles at Micheal, "Hey buddy, I'll be back soon." He then waves bye to Carly as he leaves.

BRENDA'S DECISION-PART 78


**JAX'S PARENTS HOME** (10 HOURS LATER)
Brenda is sleeping on the coach, the phone rings. She jumps up to answer it, "Hello?"

Jerry's voice is on the other side talking with a shivering voice, "um... Bren.. da? is Jax there?"

"Um no, where are you?"

"My parents there?"

"No, Jerry they all went searching for you."

"Oh, I don't know where I am. I crawled into this cave a few miles from the crash."

Brenda switches the lamp on, "So you're okay?"

"Kinda, I'm really cold and need warmed up."

Brenda smiles, "That I understand. The heat in this house must not be working." Brenda shivers realizing its really cold.

"There is a fireplace!"

"I know, but there no wood in sight."

Jerry whispers, "Good."

"WHAT?" Brenda questions.

"Nothing, I have to go..." Jerry hangs up. Brenda looks at the phone confused and then hangs it up.

(the electricity flicks off)

Brenda jumps up frightened, you can hear the wind hallowling against the house. There is a knock at the door and Brenda screams at the top of her lungs.

BRENDA'S DECISION--PART 79

Brenda screams and runs into the bedroom and shuts the door and shoves the dresser on it so noone can get in.

**in the living room**

Jason opens the door and shuts it quietly behind him. He looks around, "nice place." He whispers.

**back in the bedroom**

Brenda lays on the bed and begans to rock in place telling herself, "It's okay.." repeats it several times.

**the kitchen**

Jason turns on his flashlight and looks around, "BRENDA?" He yells.

He hears someones voice, Brenda's repeating something, "BRENDA, you okay?"

Jason tries to open the door to the bedroom but the dresser is holding it shut, "BRENDA OPEN THE DOOR!"

Brenda just sits there rocking herself, then she stops talking and looks up, she whispers, "Jax?" She stands up and walks over and pushes the dresser away, "JAX!"

Jason Yells through the door, "NO ITS JASON."

She opens the door, "What are you doing here?"

He walks in the room and looks around, "Are you okay? I'm just paying you a visit." He peeks in the bathroom. "you here a lone." Brenda is staring at the wall, "BRENDA?"

Brenda snaps out of it, "HUH?"

"are you okay?"

Brenda smiles, "I'm great, you can leave now."

Jason laughs slightly, "NO, I think I'll stay awhile."

"NO, go ahead and go back to Port-Charles. I'm fine, I can take care of myself." Brenda crosses her arms over her chest and shivers.

"Yeah, sure you can take care of yourself." refers to her locking herself in the room and mumbling to herself. He grabs the blanket and hands it to Brenda, "Here."

Brenda takes it, "Thanks."

Jason walks over to her, "Why don't you come in the kitchen and eat something, you look pale."

Brenda steps back, "I'M FINE! I'LL EAT WHEN I'M HUNGRY, STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!" She shoves him, he just stands there. "STOP IT!"

"WHAT?" Jason askes confused.

"YOU KNOW WHAT!" Brenda walks over and sits on the bed and starts rocking again.

Jason thinks then realizes she's acting paranoid, "Brenda where's your medicine?" Brenda is off in her own little world and can't hear him. He walks over and sees her bag and digs through it, grabs the pill bottle out and counts them, "Huh that's weird, you've been taking them."

Brenda looks up, "Yeah, of course I have."

Jason grabs another bottle out of his pocket that looks exactly like hers, "What are you doing?" She asks.

"HE switched your medicine with sometype of drug." Jason puts the foney medicine in his pocket and hands her one of her normal pills, "Take it."

"who switched it? No, I took one a while ago." Brenda shoves Jason's hand away.

"Jerry did, and no you didn't you took some drug of Jerry's. Probably something he has been selling on the streets."

Brenda stands up, "You're not serious!"

"YES I AM!" He looks her straight in the eyes. She takes the pill and goes in the bathroom and you hear water running and then she comes out, "There."

"Thanks... now come on."

"NO, I want to lay down in here. I'll be fine.. when I wake up I want you to tell me the whole story that you are making up."

Jason sighs, "I'm not making it up... Jax won't be back for a long time, probably so if you need anything I'll be out in the living room."

"FINE!" Brenda lays down and Jason stands there, "You can leave!" Jason walks out leaving the door open.

He walks in the living room and picks up the phone, the line is dead. He turns on a tiny battery radio sitting on the counter in the kitchen, "There is atleast 2 feet of snow and there is expecting atleast 4 more. This is one of the worst storms ever, please stay in---" Jason flicks off the radio, "Great."

Brenda's Decision part 80


**few hours later**

Jason is laying on the coach asleep, Brenda rushes out of the room and picks up the phone, there's no dial tone. She looks at the body laying on the coach, "Jason!"

Jason wakes up alittle, "Huh?"

Brenda freaking out, "The phone is dead."

Jason sits up wiping his eyes, "Yeah I know."

Brenda runs over and sits next to him, "We gotta go, have you heard from Jax?" Brenda sighs, "Of course not," she stands up, "Why are you just sitting there.. we have to go help." She runs over and opens the door and the snoww is piled up half way up the door, she shuts the door and sits down with her back to the door.

Jason looks at her half way awake. "Brenda, theres no way we are going to be any help. Jax will be home will the weather calms down." Jason stands up and walks over to the window, "its going to get dark soon. We'll have to search for some candles, and see if there is any wood in the basement, they have a basement right?"

"But he was looking for Jerry in the mountains, poor Jerry, he is probably cold to death."

Jason looks at her, "did you even hear what I just said?"

"huh?"

Jason, "about it getting dark and needing candles."

Brenda stands up, "Yeah, wonder if Jerry's been trying to re-call."

Jason turns around, "Excuse me?"

Brenda, "Sure."

"No, what did you say?"

"OH, I said 'I wondered if Jerry's been trying to recall'." she sits down and cudles up under covers.

Jason walks over and sits next to her to question her, "He called here?"

"yeah."

"In the mountains?"

Brenda nods, "Yeah he said he was in this cave."

Jason puts his hands on his head, "Brenda, you can't use a phone in a CAVE! You should remember.. when you and.." He stops. "Um, you should just know."

Brenda looks at him funny, "Jason, why are you here?" Jason looks at her, she puts her hand on his cheek, "Why did you come here?"

Jason takes her hand off of his face, "To protect you."

Brenda puts her hand under the covers and leans back, "protect me?.. from what?"


"Jerry!"

Brenda laughs, "Jerry? Yeah right! What would Jerry do?"

Jason looks in to her eyes, "Brenda, he's planned this. He's been working with Miranda, but he feel in love with you."

Brenda looks at him and shakes her head, "No, you're lying."

Jason continues, "He took your pills out and switched them with a street drug, but I got your prescription and got you a refill."

A tear falls down Brenda's face, "So Jerry, really isn't hurt? that's what your saying right?" Brenda looks around, feeling as if someone was watching her.

"Brenda, you'll be okay. He has Jax and your parents off looking for him, thinking he is lost out there.. when really he isn't. He is coming after you."

"Does he know you are here, Jason?"

"No, he doesn't even know I know his plan."

Brenda remembers something, "Jason, you shouldn't have came."

"It's no problem, I had nothing to do anyhow. I'll miss Micheal, but he'll be fine without me for a few days, Carly is really good with him now. He loves her, you know?"

Brenda smiles, "And he loves you too. Jason, I'm sorry for everything that I said to you."

"No problem, I know you were just hurting."

"So you said you had nothing to do, what about you and Robyn's plans?"

"Um, Robyn and I aren't together anymore."

"Yes, I know that Jason, but you two had a weekend planned to just go out and have fun."

Jason looks away, "Yeah well she found better things to do."

"Nikolas, right?"

Jason looks at her, "Yeah."

Brenda laughs, Jason wonders why, "What?"

"I think we should search for those candles and see if there is wood in there basement. It's getting really dark and colder minute by minute." She stands up with the blanket wrapped around her. Jason stands up next to her, for a second they stare at eachother and then Brenda turns around and walks away.

Brenda's Decision-part 81


Jason is searching through a drawer in the living room, "There's some matches." He opens the box of matches.

Brenda then walks in the room carrying two big pieces of wood, "Um, this is all I could find." She drops them on the floor. Jason laughs, "What?"

Jason smiles, "Well we have a total of 2 matches, and 6 candles, and two pieces of wood. Are you sure we only had two?"

Brenda puts her hands on her hips, "Yes! Why would I lie?"

"Maybe because all you could carry was two, and you didn't feel like going back down there!"

Brenda points at him, "You don't believe me? I'll show you!" She turns around to walk to the basement, Jason runs after her and spins her around.

"I believe you Brenda." He puts Brenda's feet back on the ground slowly, they glance at eachother.

Brenda then smiles, "Good! You better." She then picks up the wood and throws them in the fireplace. "So you only found two matches?" She sees one candle is lite. "So that means you have one left."

Jason shows her the box with two, "Actually, I found one in the box in the kitchen, which I lite the candle with, then I found this box in there." Points at the nightstand by the coach.

Brenda's eyebrow raises, "And you used the one match.. which you knew could be the only one, ON a candle?" She hits the side of his arm, "You idoit!"

Jason smiles teasingly, "ME?? Atleast I carry wood. Those weren't even that big."

Brenda looks at the wood, "Leave my wood alone."

"So we have 5 Candles left, which we can light with that candle," Points at the candle, "And we will try to light you two BIG wood pieces with these." Holds them in front of her face. She grabs them. "Wait on lighting them!"

Jason looks at her with a confused look, "What?"

Brenda explains, "Let one candle burn at a time, Its not that dark in here. Then you will just make some soup on their gas stove in there, and we will listen to that battery radio. And anyways, there are alot of blankets, I think I saw A heat blanket in the closet." Jason laughs, Brenda continues, "and we just use one piece of wood now, and the other tomorrow. Sound good, and why are you laughing?"

"Um, Brenda, the electricity is out. Remember, the electric blanket won't work. And me and a stove don't get a long. You can make it."

"No."

"Yes, wait, don't tell me you can't cook." Jason is about ready to laugh.

"I can cook, just can't promise I won't burn it."

"Burn Chicken Noodle Soup?"

"You never know."

Jason picks up Brenda, She screams and carries her into the Kitchen, "You cook and I'll get the fireplace started. Okay?"

Brenda walks in the kitchen and looks behind herself, "um.. okay."

Brenda's Decision--part 82


**An airport**

Jax paces the floor while his parents are sitting down. "Jax, honey, I'm sure Jerry is alright."

"It's not Jerry I'm worried about, its Brenda all alone at home."

Jax's dad looks at him, "Do you even care about Jerry?" Jax looks at his dad. "Do you?"

"Yes, dad I care about Jerry, If I didn't, believe me I would't be out searching for him. Its just Brenda is.."

His mom interupts, "I understand dear. And I'm sure she is okay."

Jax sighs, "I'm going to try to call her." He dials a number then listens.

"Is she there?"

Jax shuts the phone, "Nobody's answering."

(on the television a special News Report Comes on)
"Is there still hope to find Jerry Jacks in that awful plane crash? The snow is adding up and there is no sight of it stopping any time soon. Many electric and power lines are down due to the weather. Airports are crowded."

Jax flips off the T.V. "Great Brenda is probably worried sick about us not calling,"

"Jax I'm sure she's okay. She probably understands you can't get through. You never know she may be sleeping right through it." Jax's dad says joking.

"Yeah probably, she said she was tired."

**back at Jax's parents home**

Jason is looking out the door window. Brenda walks in, "I just took my medicine, so.." she stops and notices him staring out the window, "I'm sorry where you thinking" she plops down on the coach and sits indain style, "about Robyn, I didn't mean to.."

Jason interupts, "Actually, I wasn't." He turns to look at her and then smiles, "You took your medicine and changed clothes I see." She's wearing her sweats.

Brenda laughs as she pulls a cover over her, "Yeah, I felt like wearing something comfortable. You know if you'd rather wear something besides that stupid.. i mean.. tux. I'm sure there is something in Jax suitcase that you can wear."

Jason walks over and sits next to her, "You mean, the richman wear's more that suits?"

"Yeah actually I think he has a pair of black sweat paints and a white shirt that would fit you, the legs may be a little long, but..."

Jason interupts, "Um, sure.."

Brenda shocked, "Really? You want to wear sweats?"

"Wait, now Brenda. You offer me to wear sweats and then you give me a hard time."

"Well.. I was.." She is interupted by Jason putting his hand on her face, "What?"

Jason smiles, "Nothing."

"Nothing? Um, okay. Thought maybe I had some of that chicken noodle soup stuck on my face." They laugh, "Um, follow me and I'll show you to Jax's suitcase." They walk down the hall. A few mins later Brenda returns to the coach and sits down.

She glances down the hall and then puts her hand on her face where he had just touched her, a smile forms on her face, "THERE!" Brenda jumps, "How do I look." Brenda turns around to find Jason in sweats.

"Different" Brenda says thinking he looks cute.

"yeah, that's what I thought. I'm going to light the wood. It's getting colder and plus I think you should fall asleep."

"me? What about you?" Jason puts the wood in the fireplace and lights it up. Brenda walks over and turns on the radio then sits down on the coach watching Jason. "So what were you thinking about at the door?"

"huh? Oh, I was wondering what was taking Jerry so long to get here." Jason sits next to Brenda, "Why don't you go to sleep." He puts the pillow or her lap and she lays her head on the pillow her head up facing Jason and then covers up. "I love this song."

Jason listens for a second, Mariah Carey's "Whenever You Call" is playing, "Its not bad."

Brenda closes her eyes, Jason looks down at her and strokes her hair.

Brenda opens her eyes and smiles slightly.

Jason just stares at Brenda, "What?" She asks wondering what is going through his mind. "Jason?"

*In the background the music continues..(find words at end of this part)*

"You."

"Jason, what about me." Brenda says grabing his hand as she lays there with her head on his lap looking at him.

Jason bends over and kisses her.

"Jason?" He kisses her again.

"Brenda I can't help it."

"What do you mean you can't help it." Brenda says waiting him to kiss her again, so badly.

"Brenda, I never feel. The only time I actually ever felt anything was when Micheal was kidnapped a few months back. I felt scared, then, I actually had felt something. And now I have this funny feeling, I've never felt it before. IT weird, but I like it."

Brenda worried, "How long has it last.. maybe you are sick or something."

Jason laughs, "Brenda, its you. It started a while ago, and when you sat your head here and closed your eyes," Jason closes his eyes, "I.."

Brenda sits up, "Jason its called chemistry. When someone is attracted to someone else, they usually get this feeling. Like you are getting."

~By showing me yourself, undisguised~

"Oh, so chemistry. I never felt it with Robyn or Carly, but I feel it with you. i.. Do.." Jason is interupted by Brenda kissing Jason.

Jason and Brenda fall back kissing.

**jax's parents home**

There is a thump, Brenda jumps up from laying on Jason. Jason wakes up, "what's the matter?" Brenda lays back down so her head is on his chest, Jason strokes her hair.

"I thought I heard something." Jason starts to sit up. "Hey, its okay. I was just hearing the wind blowing." Brenda gets up, "I'm going to go use the restroom."

"You okay?" Jason asks concerned.

"Yeah, I'll be back." Brenda walks down the hall into the bedroom she was staying in. The window is slightly open, "Burs, I must have left that open." She walks over and shuts it, it makes a thump sound.

Jason yells, "You okay?"

Brenda smiles, "Yeah, Fine."

Then someone grabs her from behind. "Good choice of words sweetheart."


**Jax's Penthouse**

The phone rings and Carly picks it up, "Hello?" She's got Micheal in her arms. "Oh, hi Bobbie. No, everything is okay. How's the trial with Tony?.. oh, okay.." there is a knock at the door "um.. yeah someone is at the door. I'll call you back later." Carly walks over and opens the door.

Robyn stands there, "Jason here?"

Carly invites Robyn, "Actually no he isn't. He has been gone on business all weekend. Why?"

Robyn gets a questioning look, "Business? For the whole weekend."

Carly sits Micheal down on the floor on a blanket with toys, "Yeah, went to Australia. Something to do with Brenda and Jax. He said he'd be back right away when he was finished with his business. Is it important Robyn?"

Robyn looks up, "Huh? NO, I just wanted to Thank Him for what he did for me when Tony kidnapped me."

Carly smiles, "Did you take him out to dinner 2 weeks ago?"

"Yeah... but.."

"But what Robyn? I'm sure he gets it now. He knows you are Thankful that he saved your life," Carly smiles and waves to Micheal, "And Micheal's. But you have to understand his life doesn't revall around you."

"Oh, what does he revall around? You?" Robyn gets mad.

"NO, actually on Micheal and his business. I have nothing to do with Jason."

"Oh, yeah that's right Carly. Your life doesn't mean crap to him because he knows the only person that can help you.. is you. You should tell A.J. he IS the father, instead of making him think otherwise. He would be a good father."

"Oh, and how would that make Jason feel?"

"What? Jason isn't the point!" Robyn walks over and opens the door, "You need to get out." Robyn shuts the door behind herself.

"Yeah well you need to quit interfering with his life."
