Detective Investigation Files I

(Ying Sze Tjing Chap Dong On)

Starring :

Dao Tai Yu  Leung Wing Chung
Kenix Kwok

Summary (Peter Fong):
Tai Yong (Michael Doa Tai Yu) is a cop who hates reporters because he finds them really annoying and was once betrayed by one before (the reporter promised to keep the information a secret but ended up writing it out to the public, causing Micheal lotsa problems). One day he met Ko Chit (Kenix Kwok Oi Ying) a very ambitious reporter although her dream was to become a policegal but her mother would not allow her because Ko Chit's dad was a cop (and died because of that). Due to her interest in finding out the truth and at least got to do something WITH cops, she has became a reporter .

Everytime there's a case , she kept following Tai Yung for information but Tai Yung always acted very cold towards her. And the fact that her boyfriend isn't too nice towards Tai Yung didn't helped their friendship much. Her boyfriend is a "Fat Yi Koon" (I always forget the exact name for that job.... someone who does autopsies and stuff) On one case Tai Yung found out that Ko Chit's boyfriend was having an affair (actually he bumped into their love's nest) causing Ko Chit and him to break up. Tai Yung felt sorry for that and became nicer towards Ko Chit. After some time, they find themself having feelings for each other anf they got together.

As for Yi Chai (Tai Yung's police-partner), he's a very naive guy and he fell in love with Gigi ( Tai Yung's childhood friend that always 'bug' him and look for Tai Yung only when she's facing problems ). She has a son too named Hang Hang . She promised to marry Joey at the end of the seires.

Opinion (Peter Fong): This serie is the start of the legendary DIF-trilogy and I liked it from the first episode! (maybe that's because the first case is also the most intriging case) I can't remember any policestory before this one that concentrated so much at the character's personalities and NOT on the cases they'll have (except for FoJ, but that's another genre). That might be also the key to success. Most of my friends wanted to know about the devolepmonts of the character's relationships over the cases itself.
If you make me choose between the three series, I'll certainly pick the first one as he best. Because this one had a happy "ending" and the life's of the character's hadn't been messed up to pull the viewers to keep watching the developments.

These summaries are written by a good friend of me, Ingrid.  Please visit her DIF-homepage if you've got the time: And don't forget to sind her guestbook, or she might kill me^_^

The first of the three series is consists of 20 chapters. Leo Ku sings the theme song 感情真相 and 對你始終痴心一往.
