TVB's own review    Lai (Leung Pui Ling)'s brother Keung (Loui Yu Yeung) went bankrupt after his business went wrong. He asked Lai to pretend to be Yan (Ngai Chun Kit)'s girlfriend, so that their father Cheong would lend them the money. Yan is, in fact, the boyfriend of Keung's partner, Yang (Ng Wing Hung). 

 However, the pretense was discovered by their mother Yin (Nam Hung) and she also found out that Yang was the daughter of her enemy Kwan (Pak Yan). Cheong, therefore, refused to lend them the money. Keung was devastated. On the other hand, Lai and Yan fell in love with each other and this angered Yang . .
