 Through the story of the Lee's family, "Kindred Spirit" gives an interesting portrait of the familial and social relationships of people in modern society. The long-running situation comedy is proven to be one the most popular serial drama in local and overseas markets.

Peter Fong: I don't want to start writing summaries about Kindred Spirit. There are just TOO MANY epsiodes out and it's almost impossible for me to write summaries of all of them.

 There are some things I want to say about Kindred though. It's getting a lot more boring and dragging now that the producers wants to break the 1000-epsiodes boundaries. I think that's also the main reason why the length of each episodes is getting shorter and shorter. What was once 30 minutes, is now only 20 or so. 
I really hates this and not only because the video rental store is making a lot of profit because of this (and my bank account is getting lower). 
Another thing that I dislike is that TVB are planning to make some irrational changes in the life of the "Kindred"-family members. Like the idea of putting Cally Kwong Mei Wan as Ah Hoi new lover. He's had enough though time, why can't TVB just leave him alone? Or that A Kwan is going to have an affair later... 

In my opinion, there is no need for them to do that. There are plenty of storylines they can thnk up. Here are some that I just thought up and I'm sure there are more: 

Joanne and On Jai. (Their story just suddenly stopped) 
Joanne with that father of MayMay. 
Ho Yee with Piu Lang Hon 
May may get a new boyfriend. 
So Fay too. 
Tai Lik get a new girlfriend. (also has one, but was never shown) 
The daughter of Ho Yee comes back with her "husband" 

and of course, the MOST wanted story of all time. 

Dai Ma (Kenix Kwok) comes back with her husband!
