Timeline (reverse order):

  • 1998-In a controversial move,WQED acquires WPCB-TV while Cornerstone Broadcasting acquires WQEX-TV 16. WQED sells WPCB-TV to Paxson. Pax TV will run on Channel 40,while Cornerstone's christian programming moves to non-commercial Channel 16. This is met with opposistion from local groups who didn't like the deal.
