Maria Bello (Anna DelAmico) has left ER. I'm not sure at the moment whether she will be in the first episodes, or what. Probably not, although it would make more sense if she was.

as the fourth season comes to a jolting close. As the episode begins,
Ross and Hathaway are continuing their controversial and unauthorized
efforts to aid a 7-month-old boy, who was born addicted to heroin. But
when the procedure is discovered, it could lead to their terminations.
Meanwhile, Corday is stunned to receive a brusque letter from Romano
concerning her sponsorship; Carter suspects Del Amico's boyfriend (James
Le Gros) when drugs are stolen from the unit; and a despondent patient
shocks the staff with an unusually vicious and violent act. Nable:

She's heard
that Carter was going to lose all of the family money, bringing them
closer because they are more financially equal, until they finally get
together.
AND that Carter was going to move to a smaller
practice for a while to get more money and meet another woman and then
Anna realises her true feelings for him.
She ALSO heard that her old
boyfriend was coming back, and that something happens to make her want to
go out with Carter.

an unfinished abortion; Ross works valiantly to save a 17-year-old and
her unborn baby; and Corday is shocked to learn the identity of one of
the clinic victims. Meanwhile, Benton comes under review for the
controversial action he took during a botched operation in which a
patient died, and Jeanie (Gloria Reuben) endures one of the most
difficult days of her life as she says goodbye to a friend.
