"Do you think anything new will come out now that Julie's been found not guilty of the General Homicide murders?" Jenn asked Alex, while she was rummaging around the refridgerator, looking for something to make for dinner.
"I don't know." He said, sighing. "It's hard to say. There really hasn't been anything new in awhile."
"Weren't you making progress when Kevin was taking calls on that radio show?"
"I thought so, but we came up empty handed." Alex stood up and walked over to Jenn who still had her back to him. Pulling her close to him he shut the door of the refridgerator. "Let's just eat out tonight."
"Are you sure?" She asked, turning to face him. "I know how exhausted you've been and..."
"And I haven't been much of a boyfriend or much of an anything to you lately. I have the night off, let's enjoy it."
"Really?" She asked with a smile. Alex nodded. "Okay. Where should we go?"
"The Grille?" He suggested.
"Sounds good to me."
"Let's go. Right now." Alex said, grabbing his keys off the table and gently nudging Jenn to the door. Jenn laughed as she just barely managed to get her coat from the chair.
They had just walked out the door when the phone rang. Mac listened intently to the phone as it rang. "Come on Garcia, answer." After the forth ring the answering machine picked up. Groaning slightly to himself, Mac waited for the message to finish and then left one of his own, simply saying "It's Mac. We need to talk." Sighing, he hung up the phone and hoped Alex would get the message soon.
