Alex walked in the door of his apartment exhausted. As if he didn't have enough to deal with, regarding the General Homicide murders, Mac was also putting it to him with the car bombing. Normally, he wouldn't mind having a huge workload, and he really did understand why Mac wanted to know who planted that bomb, because he wanted to know too. Robin Scorpio had almost died, and Jennifer had been at the club too. The thought of what could have happened made him shudder. Sighing heavily, he took his jacket off and placed it on the back of a chair. Looking around, he realized that the apartment was still dark. She wasn't home yet. Sinking down into a chair he closed his eyes and puts is head into his hands.
The stress was so heavy lately. He missed the old life he used to have. Back when he could come home and spend a quite evening with the woman he was in love with. But, until that damn murderer was caught, he couldn't even allow himself to imagine it. He was so deep in thought that he didn't even hear Jenn walk in. She stopped just inside of the doorway and watched him. It broke her heart to see him like that. Silently she closed the door and walked over to him. Leaning down, she put her arms around him and whispered, "It's okay, baby. Everything's going to be okay..."
