Dead and Loving it

" Well, lover how are we this lovely night?" asked a sneering Angelus.

" Yes a lovely night, but why are you following me?" Buffy asked.

" Oh, no particular reason. But why is my lover so sad?" he asked totally unconcerned. ‘ Because of you. You ruined my life! You took way my Angel! And I want him back!’ Buffy thought to herself.

‘ Wow! Me rule Hellmouth with the love of my life?! But I’m the Slayer it’s my duty to save the world, but Kendra could always do it right?

" Give me until tomorrow night, kay?" she said a little surprised at her own words. But Angelus was more surprised and asked, " Really?"

" Really." She replied. A slow smile spread across his face.

"Nah, I’m not gonna give you ‘til tomorrow night, its now or you die, either way its a win-win situation." He said. ‘ No! Tell him No! You’re NOT going to die! What about your mom and friends? NO!’ Buffy’s conscience screamed, luckily for once Buffy did listen. She walked calmly over to him, looked him straight in his eyes and laughed.

" Is something funny, lover?" he asked confused.

" Nothing." Before he could react Buffy slipped a stake in her hand and pinned Angelus against a giant gravestone.

" Ya know I think you’re right! It is a win-win situation!" she said as a smug smile played across her lips, " Now, you move you die, you stand there you die. Wow! This must be my lucky night! Well, it certainly isn’t yours now is it?" she smiled.

" It is now!" cried a voice behind her. A shadow came slowly walking toward her. Buffy spun around and stood in her fighting stance.

" Eve! W-what are you doing here?" Angelus said to the fuming shadow.

Buffy stepped closer to see what she was going to fight. She found herself looking at a very beautiful, a very mad vampire.

" And you are?" Buffy asked.

" A Slayer’s worst nightmare." she replied casually. Her eyes fell upon Angelus. A huge smiled appeared on her gorgeous face.

" Angelus! Oh, how I’ve missed you!" she threw her arms around his neck and pulled him into a long and passionate kiss. A pang of jealousy hit her like a canon.

" As I said, Who are you?" Buffy said annoyed. Both looked over to her and finally *she* spoke.

" Why, Angelus why don’t you introduce us?" she said.

" My pleasure. Eve, my love, this is Buffy, the pitiful Slayer. Buffy, this is the most strongest, most gorgeous Slayer the Hellmouth has ever known." Angelus said.

" Uummm. Very so not interesting. What are you doing here anyway?" Buffy asked coldly.

" Seems the little Slayer has a bit of a ‘tude. Tsk- tsk. That’s not a good trade mark, now is it? To answer your question I’m here to see the love of my life." She said turning toward Angelus.

" You mean mine." Buffy added under her breath.

" Come Eve, everyone will be so happy to see you." Angelus said then turned to Buffy, " We can finish are little death match later, I have to catch my little lover up to what I’ve been doing this last century." With that he strode off into the darkness with Eve on his arm. Buffy slowly made her way to the library, where she knew Giles would be.

" Giles! Giles!" Buffy called into the Sunnydale school library.

" Ummmmmm?" said a voice from one of the many stacks of books.

" Giles, who is the most powerful Slayer that ever lived?" she asked.

" Buffy, I’m not going to play one of your stupid little games, but if it’ll make you feel better than you are." he said.

" No, no, Giles I mean for real. Who is the most powerful Slayer that has ever lived?" she asked again.

" Um, well, I don’t know. Why do you need to know?" he said confused.

" Because I just met her. Okay, I know it sounds weird, but when I was patrolling Angelus was following me, we had a chat, I had him pinned then this girl came outta nowhere yelling at me." Buffy explained, " Oh, and her name was Eve."

" E-ve? Did you say? Oh, my god! I didn’t think it would come true!" Giles said as he sat down.

" What? What didn’t you think was gonna come true? Tell me, Giles!" Buffy asked.

" The prophecy says that," Giles went over to a table and starting reading, " On the thousandth month of the thousandth year the hundredth Slayer will fight the most powerful Slayer since Colleen. Colleen was a very powerful Slayer until she was killed.Buffy, listen to me, Eve is more powerful than you and Kendra combined." he said seriously.

" But, why don’t they say thousandth Slayer instead of the hundredth?’ Buffy asked confused.

" I asked the Watchers council the same thing and they said, because back when the prophecy was told they knew that you would be the Slayer and because you cheated death so many times, and are the strongest Slayer since Eve,than they chose you." Giles said. He looked to see her reaction, usually she said I can do it,but know she looked like a three-year old had just been told the prophecy.

" Buffy? Are you all right? Buffy?" Giles said. But Buffy wasn’t listening, she was thinking. ‘ Another prophecy, this one Angel won’t be there to save me, I’m going to die. I can’t live being like this anymore, I should have taken Angelus offer’ she thought.

" Giles? how do they know that the next Slayer won’t be stronger than me?"

" Because every hundredth Slayer is almost as powerful as the hundredth Slayer before her."

" How much is almost?" she asked him.

" Let’s say Eve is a 100, that would make you a 86." Giles said.

" But she’s a vampire, will that make her stronger?"

" No, not much more. Let’s see, that would make her a 128." Giles said.

" If I became a vampire how much more would I be?" Buffy asked.

" Well, what are you thinking about?" Giles asked taking off his glasses.

" No, I’m saying IF I became a vampire." Buffy said.

" Um, you would be stronger. When you become a vampire you usually get, like 100 more, but since Eve already was so strong then she would only get so many points."

" So I would be 186? That would mean I would kick her butt hard?" Buffy asked excitedly.

" Buffy, if you became a vampire you would lose your conscience, you would be the one killing people." Giles said getting angry.

" But isn’t there a way to restore my soul?" Buffy asked.

" I don’t know. Buffy what are you suggesting?" he asked.

" You find a way to restore my soul and I’ll take care of the prophecy." she called over her shoulder. ‘ If I die, which I am then I don’t want to be restored. Well, I better go find Druscilla so she can kill me. No, I don’t like that, take me over. Yeah, that’s much better.’ Buffy thought as she made her way to the playground. She glanced at her watch, 11: 24 p.m. ‘ Good’ ,she thought , ‘ I’ll have plenty of time.’

‘ Where is she! She said she would met me here at eleven-thirty!’ Spike thought to himself, ‘ Now I’ll have to go look for her.’

Spike made his way through the playground when he suddenly felt the Slayer near. Then he saw her rocking and forth next to a pile of ashes. ‘Dru! Oh, no, DRU!’ he put his game face on and raced toward her.She looked up, she was crying. ‘ Why is she crying?’

" He killed her, Spike! I didn’t do it! I swear I didn’t!" she whispered , " I was waiting for her, because I wanted to be taken over,then Angelus and Eve came. Dru went crazy! She and Eve went at each other, then Angelus stepped in and staked her. Eve just laughed and they both walked off. He ruined it for me! I thought Dru and I would be friends, but he killed her!" she was wiping tears away and she came rushing towards him. She threw her arms around him and kissed him, rough and demanding at first, then their lips just melted together. She pulled away and brushed her lips against his cheek and whispered, " Take me out into the darkness." Spike just nodded. He brushed her hair aside and bit down, then he bit his wrist and put it up to her mouth. When he was done she looked up and smiled. ‘ What a beautiful smile, this will surely drive Angelus crazy, I have Buffy.’ Spike thought happily.Buffy leaned up and kissed him again.

" Come, ducks, let’s go home." Spike said gently.

" Can’t we eat first?" she asked.

" Of course love."

" Spike, I’m cold."

" Here ya are love." He took off his trench coat and put it around her shoulders. She smiled happily at him and lightly kissed him before snuggling up in the crook of his arm.They grabbed a *bite* to eat, then headed toward the warehouse.

" Hello, Spikey-boy, how was your night?" Angelus said as Spike walked in the door.

" Good. Angelus I would like you to meet my knew Love. Love, come in here." Spike called.

" Spike I like it here." said a familiar voice. Angelus soon saw who it was. Buffy.

" Buffy?" Angelus said shocked.

" Yep, that’s me." she said as she wrapped her arms around Spike. Then she kissed him.

" You let Spike turn you into a vampire and not me? Why?" he asked.

" I have my reasons." she said smiling.

" Come,spike show me the rest of the warehouse." She said glaring at Eve as she walked by.

" Coming love." Spike called after her.

" Ooh, Angelus are you sad because I got the slayer and you didn’t? Too bad." Spike said laughing. Angelus shook his head in dismay.

" Come, love, wake up."

" I don't wanna." Buffy said.

" Yes you do. Tonight's New Year's Eve, so I suggest you get up." Spike said.

" Goodie! What shall we do tonight, my Spike?" Buffy said as she sat up in bed.

" Kill some , make some new vamps , kill the Slayer, that kinda stuff." Spike suggested.

" Can I kill the Slayer? Please!" Buffy pleaded.

" Very well, love." Spike smiled , " Let's go, it's almost sun down." Spike scooped Buffy into his arms and walked out of the bedroom.

" Willow where is everyone?" asked Giles.

" They're all getting ready for tonight." she replied.

" Okay. Will you have them all come in here?" he asked.

" Sure." She walked out the doors. Giles sighed, it's been three long, torturous months since Buffy was killed. There's a new Slayer, but she isn't as strong as Buffy. Her name is Michelle, she's very capable of killing vampires but has no chance against Spike or even Angelus.

" Hey Giles! What's up?" Xander asked. Giles looked up and saw all the Slayerettes ( Willow, Xander, Cordelia, Oz) and of course Michelle.

" Well, tonight is New Year's Eve and Spike, Angelus and Eve all have a way of celebrating, so I all want you to be extra careful. All of you know to stay in a group and Michelle do not patrol tonight. I would suggest that you all stay inside tonight, but if not you all are prepared, right?" Giles said.

" Yes." they all said in chorus.

" Very well then, I'm going home before it gets to late, what are your plans tonight?" he asked.

" Either go to the Bronze or stay at Xander's house." Willow answered ( for all of them ).

" Well, I'm leaving so all of you be careful." Giles said as he walked out the door.

" So, my house?" Xander asked. They all nodded.

" Spike I'm hungry NOW." Buffy whined.

" You're going to ruin your appetite, fine. Thomas! Get in here!" Spike yelled. A vampire came scrambling in and halted in front of Spike.

" Yes, Spike?" he said fearfully. Spike pointed to Buffy.

" Go to her." Thomas nodded and slowly walked over to Buffy.

" Yes. Come to me. Hurry!" she said. When he approached Buffy grabbed him by the throat and bit down into his neck, sucking him dry. When she was done she dropped him to the floor.

" Hmmm. Coulda been better." she said, "Karen! Come collect Thomas!"

" Buffy you shouldn't ruin your appetite." Eve said walking in.

" Like I really care what you think. What are you doing here, shouldn't you be begging Angelus to kiss you or something?" Buffy said coldly.

" No, I'll leave that up to you." she replied.

" Nice one. But I already have a man to satisfy me." Buffy said getting out of her chair and walking over to Spike.

" Spike, when are we going?" Buffy asked ignoring Eve.

" In five minutes." he said.

" Hello Buffy." Angelus called coming into the room.

" Hi Angelus. Are you coming with us or are you going with her." Buffy asked cheerfully. Angelus looked over to Eve and gave a little smile.

" I'm going with you. Eve you don't mind do you?" Angelus asked.

" Well actually I-" she started to reply but was cut off.

" Good. We'll go together and you can take the rest of the pack." he said turning to smile at Buffy. Spike stood up and wrapped his arms around Buffy and lightly kissed her head.

" Let's go now, ducks. Time to feast." Spike said taking her hand.

" Yeah! See ya later Eve." Buffy called over her shoulder.

" See ya!" Eve called. ' Aaghh! I can't stand that girl! Well, we'll just have to see who gets to the slayer first." she thought with a smug smile.

" Karen! Mike! Round everyone up! We're going out tonight!" she yelled. She happily skipped out the door.

" Willow how are ya holdin' up?" Michelle asked. Willow turned and forced a smile.

" Okay, I guess. I just really miss Buffy." she said. Oz turned around and gave her a hug. Willow couldn't help but start to cry.

" Sshhh. Willow, it's okay." Oz whispered as he stroked her hair.

" Yes, Willow don't cry I'm right here." everyone looked over to see Spike, Angelus, and Buffy.

" Well Michelle, it's time for you to go." Buffy said smiling.

" Try me." she said.

" Okay I will." Buffy lunged at the slayer. The fight was on. Angelus and Spike Walked over to the Slayerettes, lucky for them they were prepared. But Spike and Angelus didn't care they pushed away their crosses and grabbed up their first meal of the night.

" Oh, poor little Slayer did you know this is your last night on earth?" someone called from the shadows. Buffy looked up and so did everyone else.

" Eve, what are you doing here? Can't you see we're busy?" Buffy said.

" But I'm here to kill the Slayer.' she said.

" Sorry I got here first." Buffy replied.

" No I wasn't talking about her, I was talking about you." She sneered. Eve walked over to where Buffy was standing and threw holy water in her face.

" Aggggghhh!!!!!" Buffy dropped the slayer and covered her face with her hands. Spike saw what happened and raced over to her. Eve picked up the slayer and quickly snapped her neck.

" One slayer down, one to go." she said. Spike came rushing at her but she threw up her hand in which held a cross. Spike snarled but backed away.

" Bye-bye Slayer." Eve said and reached down to grab Buffy by the neck.

" Sorry, old lady but remember I'm stronger. So you want to try than be my guest!" Buffy called. She reached out ( quicker than sight ) and grabbed Eve by the throat.

" You're probably thinking ' I can't breathe, so who cares!' But you have to watch my other hand as it reachs out and tears your heart from your body." Buffy said happily as she held Eve's heart, " See that's what I mean, you got to pay attention."

" Well, Spike you're right I got to kill the Slayer!" Buffy said as she turned to their victims. She walked over to where Angelus held Willow.

" I do need friends so Angelus make her one, Spike you make Cordelia one and I'll find something to do with the boys." Buffy said happily.

Buffy walked slowly down the hallway into the main room of the warehouse where all her friends were dining.

" Cordelia, what are you doing?" Buffy asked. Cordelia was startled to see Buffy walking towards her.

" Um, nothing. I was saving him for you, really." Cordelia stammered. She held Giles up by his neck to give to Buffy.

" Good. I hope my favorite Watcher is having fun." Buffy grinned and contuied sucking the life out of him.

" Karen! Come collect the Watcher!" Buffy called and turned to Spike, " Spike, you love me right?"

" More than anything, pet." Spike answered.

" That's all a girl could want." Buffy smiled and wrapped her arms around him, she pulled him down for a long kiss.
