Angel opened his eyes. In some odd way, he saw differently- and he saw Buffy standing in front of him. She was crying. He felt different -cleaner, nicer- but with a lump in his heart. Then, he knew he had his soul back. He remembered all those people he killed- Jenny especially. Angel felt a wave of greif, and he held back a sob. Angel stood up. Buffy looked at him quietly for a minute, then ran up and gave him a hug. Angel moved back.

"What's wrong?" Buffy asked.

" I'm sorry...for everything, everything I did." Angel replied.

Buffy said nothing, and there was a heavy silence in the air. "Listen...I got a mega-history test tommorrow, so...I sorta-hafta go." Buffy said reluctantly. Angel nodded. He needed some private time to think, anyway.

When he was back in his apartment, Angel lay down on his bed and thought about all the hurt he had caused. To Buffy, to Xander, to Giles, to all of his friends. He knew he couldn't apologise... because of all those awful things he had said to Buffy, and killing Jenny, he was too ashamed to show his face to those people again.

Buffy couldn't think. She couldn't study, she couldn't concentrate. All she could think about was Angel. *Can I forgive him...can I ever trust him again?* Buffy thought to herself. She had already given him all her love and trust, and look what happened! Would it happen again???

Angel shut the door behind him. He didn't know where to go...maybe somewhere where the sun would come up and take him away. Take everyone else's pain away. Once he was gone, Buffy would be happier. She could get on with her life. Angel decided to go to the top of the hill. The sun would be up in a few hours...

*No, it would never happen again* Buffy thought. *I can trust him... I love him* Buffy grabbed her coat, and hopped out of her window.

When Buffy went to Angel's apartment, she found he wasn't there. Buffy wondered where he was, and set out to find him.

*God, how long does it take for the sun to rise?* Angel thought. He realizes he had a few more hours, and decided to go talk to Buffy.

Buffy frantically searched around. She couldn't find him. She had searched everywhere...where had he gone?

That same moment, Angel crawled out from Buffy's window...*She's usually in bed now...where could she be?* Angel started off, thinking where Buffy could be at this hour...

Buffy ran up around make-out hill- she stood. At that same moment, Angel ran up the other side. He stared at Buffy and ran towards her. Buffy hugged Angel and said, "I forgive you for all you've done...I love you Angel." Angel just smiled back at Buffy, and kissed her.
