The Bronze.... Angel watched from the shadows of the stairwell, as Buffy sat with her friends around the table.

Does she miss me? He thought to himself. Could she ever forgive me for the things I have done? His heart felt empty without her. He longed to hold her in his arms, and smell her sweet hair. He missed their secret rendezvous, and their sweet kisses goodnight.

Buffy was talking to Willow, when she suddenly got a strange feeling. That feeling of..... " Angel?" she murmured out loud. She got up off her chair and looked around.

" Where is he?" she pondered. Then she saw him. Standing behind the stairwell, and he was looking straight at her. She stared into his eyes, the eyes of her lost love. He was so gorgeous, he still had that effect on her. But there was something different about him, his eyes were so sad, Buffy could see the love there. But the depression, and sadness overwhelmed him.

Suddenly, Buffy pulled away from the stare. She turned around and sat down.

< It's too soon> she thought.

" What was it Buffy? Are you ok?" Xander asked obviously concerned.

" Nothing I just thought I saw someone I knew" she replied. She looked at Willow, and saw her nod her head. She knew what Buffy had seen.

Leaving the Bronze.......

Buffy started through the alleyway, cautious at every corner. She really didn't feel good. And seeing Angel, had mad her so depressed. She wanted to go to him, but the pain in her heart had not healed and she knew it was just too soon. < God I have crumby life> she thought.

She was walking through the graveyard when suddenly she was caught off guard, and a vampire threw her to the ground from behind.

Angel was on his way home, when he felt a twinge of pain in his stomach. He knew Buffy was in trouble, he started running back the way he came.

When he got to her she was slumped on the ground. He ran to her, and knelt down by her side. " Buffy! Buffy!" he tapped her to see if she was awake.

" Angel?" she murmured softly. " I'm so sorry I ... hu-rt you... like this."

" What?" he replied. " how could you say that it was your fault, Buffy don't do this to yourself!"

" Angel!.. I lo-ve you .." she managed to say. " I want.. you.. to.. have.. this." And she put the ring he gave her, in his soft palm.

" Buffy?" he cried, as the tears began to roll down his cheeks."

What are you saying? I'm gonna get you outta here. Just keep talking to me."

" I .. know!" she stammered, and then she turned her head and closed her eyes.

" Buffy!!!!!!!!" Angel screamed in pain. He scooped her up in his arms, and started running to the library.

" What the?" GIles said as Angel came through the librairy doors. " what happened?"

He cleared off the table, and put his coat on one end. " Lay her here!" he ordered.

Angel laid the fragile looking girl down on the table. And gently started to pull up the bottom of her shirt. " OH my God!" he yelled. Her side was sliced all the way from her rib cage, to the top part of her hip. And she was bleeding everywhere.

" Why didn't I follow her home?" he started screaming at himself.

Giles stared at Buffy's former boyfriend. He had the urgency to strangle him to death for Jenny's sake. But then reminded himself that it wasn't Angel who killed her. He was brought back to attention when Buffy started convulsing on the table.

Giles picked up the phone to dial 911, while Angel tried to keep Buffy from hurting herself any further.

Suddenly Willow and Xander burst through the doors. They started to ask if Giles knew where Buffy was. And then they saw her. Xander screamed " Buffy!" then ran towards Angel and started hitting him. " What did you do to her?" he yelled. " YOu almost killed her once why do you keep doing this to her? Huh, Why?" he continued to hit Angel until he sobbed and fell to the ground.

" I'm sorry!" he begged with Angel. " I.. I.. didn't mean it."

Angel and Giles exchanged worried glances.
