Disclaimer: Willow, Oz, and Buffy belong to Joss and the WB and ME. The song
"A Heart Full Of Love" is from 'Les Miserables', but I kinda changed the
names. Aren't you tired of reading disclaimers?
Authors Note: Okay, I know, I know, Willow and Oz met a long time ago and
everything, but I heard this song and I couldn't not use it, and this was the
only way it fit in. I don't know if Willow really likes "Les Mis", but I made
that up so that it would fit in the story. Italics is the song.
A HEART FULL OF LOVE
by Liligans
A boy walked up to Buffy just as she was going into the library during lunch. He was shortish with strawberry blond hair. She'd seen him around.
"Can you do me a favor?" he asked hopefully.
"Shoot." she replied, hoping he wasn't asking her out. She was happily surprised when he pointed at Willow, down the hall.
"You're her friend, right?" he asked. She nodded.
"Does she know the words to any of the songs in "Les Mis"?"
Buffy answered truthfully, "She loves that show. She knows every word."
He smiled and turned to go. He turned around, though. "Will she be in the
library after school?"
Buffy nodded.
"Can you make sure she's alone?"
At Buffy's enthusiatic "Sure." He started off, calling back "Don't tell her!"
Willow tapped Buffy on the shoulder and she turned around.
"What was that about?" Willow asked.
"Oh, nothing."
Willow walked into the library after school. It was completely empty.
<< strange >> Something was on the table, though. She walked over and lifted the single flower to her nose, inhaling its beautiful aroma deeply.
<< even stranger! >> She read the attached note.
SING ALONG
She barely had time to wonder about the strange message when the familiar
opening chords of a song floated through the stacks. She wandered toward the
source of the song, finding the the guitarist just as he began to sing
A heart full of love. A heart full of song. I'm doing everything all wrong
Oh God, for shame I do not even know your name Dear Mad'moiselle Won't you say?
Will you tell?
She knew this song! Realization struck her -- Sing Along!
Without thinking she
picked up the part written for Cosette
A heart full of love. No fear, no regret.
He stood up and looked her in the eyes. My name is Oz
He put his name into the song. It didn't really fit, but neiter of them noticed.
And mine's Willow
Their voices weren't the ones off of the CD, but, oddly, the music sounded
sweeter to her.
Willow, I don't know what to say.
Neither of them had to think about it anymore.
Then make no sound.I am lost.
I am found!
She meant it with all her heart. No one had EVER done anything this nice for HER.
A heart full of love. It was clear he meant it too. A night bright as day.
How had he known? How did he find such a perfect song? And you must never go away
Willow! Willow! This is a chain we'll never break Do we dream?
He put his guitar down and took his guitar down and took her hands in his.
We're awake. A heart full of love. A single look and then I knew. I knew it too.
How true. She knew it the second she had seen him. From today Every day.
They were moving closer together. As their voices joined in unison, the
harmony was the most beautiful, sweetest, enchanting sound either of them had
ever heard. For it isn't a dream Not a dream After all.
They stood there, both speechless at how, unconscienceously, they had moved so
close together. Willow repeated a line of the song.
Oz, I don't know what to say.
He moved even closer. Then make no sound.
Their lips had been moving together slowly the whole time, and, as the last
note faded, touched.
