Clive Robertson (Ben) recently spoke with SOD, and has said that he may leave the show, in the event that producers bring back his evil twin Derek.  2 years ago, Robertson had to do double time for both characters, Ben and Derek.  The work was exhausting, and Robertsion doesn't want to do that to himself again.  Though Derek was killed off when he fell off a cliff, they never found his body, so you never know if he'll be back in town!!!! Lets see...

Susnet Beach may be picked up by several stations when it leaves NBC on December 31, 1999.  Beach was cancelled by the peacock network because of low ratings.  Meanwhile overseas the shows a hit!!  Talks are that the WB, FOX, USA, or Lifetime are going to pick up the show.  Spelling has succesful shows on both channels FOX and WB, which gives them a friendly relationship.  They are both interested in going into a daytime lineup.  As for Lifetime and USA, they are also interested in a daytime lineup, and are in talks with Spelling in present time.  Another rumor floating around is that if either the ?WB or FOX does pick the show up, it will be in a daytime timeslot, 10 PM!!!  Giving it the status of a Primtime soap, such as Melrose Place, which was also produced by Spelling.  All we can say is, TIME WILL TELL!!!!! 

Effective December 31st, 1999, Sunset Beach will no longer be airing anywhere.  Thanks to NBC, our fvaorite Daytime TV show has been given the axe!!!  To hear a recording form the Sunset Beach Fan Club, call 818-840-4444.  After months of workign on this website, I am sad to say that as of December 31st, this site will no longer contain Sunset Beach information!!  Instead, it will become John's Days of Our Lives Fan Page!!!  I am furious with NBC, and will never begin to watch a new show on that station.  We will miss the show greatly, and I hope that maybe FOX or the WB will take it over!!!!

Kathleen Noone has resigned with Beach, thanks to her new storyline.  Her popular character Bette will be involved in a love triangle with Olivia/AJ/and of course herself.  The popular actress is an original charcter, and a key player in all of Sunset Beach.
