Brokedown Palace was a dramatic film, not really a tearjerker, but it was definenetly extremely dramatic.
It was a movie about to fresh high school graduates who go on vacation to ThaiLand. There they meet a guy who who wants to take them to Hong Kong for a few days. But instead he get them arrested by Thai's defense corps for smuggling weed. They swear that they had nothing to do with the Marijuana but of course no one, but the American lawayer who swears to help them, believes them and they end up in the Brokedown Palace, a jail for women.
There was a strong, professional performance by Claire Daines in this fil and I would only recommend it to Drama buffs. [Rating: PG-13]
