{In Lucky's room, Lizzie hands him a present}

Lizzie: “Ok, here you go. Come on, you have to open it now. Come on.”

Lucky: “Ok, ok, ok.” {He starts to carefully open the tape}

Lizzie: “Oh, jeez, you're one of those. No, come on, just open it!” {She starts ripping off the paper}

Lucky: “Careful! Careful. What are you doing?”

Lizzie: “Ta-da.”

Lucky: “You did this?”

Lizzie: “It's my first oil. Is it ok?”

Lucky: “Are you kidding? This is magnificent. You're sitting on some talent.”

Lizzie: “Oh, not really. Except maybe as a sneak. You would not believe how hard it was for me to pull this off without you finding out. I couldn't paint in my bedroom because I was afraid you were going to come through my window any second, so I had to paint downstairs in the living room with the drapes closed. Oh, and, you see, these are –“

Lucky: “Yeah, musical notes.”

Lizzie: “Not just any arbitrary musical notes. That's the first chord of the song you wrote for me. I know because I went to the music teacher and I played the first part of the tape for her -- don't worry, I stopped it before you started singing -- and she helped me transcribe it.”

Lucky: “I’m completely blown away. Man. I -- I got something for you, too, but it's nothing like this.”

Lizzie: “Ooh, I love Christmas. Here.” {She takes the painting and puts it on the bed while Lucky gets her present}

Lucky: “Ok, now, if you don't like it, you don't have to keep it. We can get another one, a whole different thing –“

Lizzie: “Oh, Lucky, can I please just have my present? {He hands it to her} Thank you.” {She opens it to find a ring}

Lucky: “I know it seems simple. That's what I like about it. I -- I told the guy at the jewelry shop that it's for simply the most beautiful girl in the world.”

Lizzie: “Lucky, it's perfect.”

Lizzie: “How could you think that even for a second I wouldn't love this? This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever owned.”

Lucky: “I know we agreed not to see other people a while back, but I just wanted to make it official. I mean, I -- I wanted you to have something you could wear that says -- well, tells you that we belong together.”

Lizzie: “Hmm.”

Lucky: “Something you can look at any time, day or night, and be reminded of how much you've changed my life and how much I love you.”

Lizzie: “You just said you love me.”

Lucky: “I know. You don't have to say it back. I mean, you don't even have to love me back. I mean, you can consider this just an ordinary best friend's ring. I just thought you ought to know.”

Lizzie: “Lucky, I thought you already knew. I am in love with you. I have been all along.”

Lucky: “You just said you love me.”

Lizzie: “I do. I've been wanting to tell you for a long time. I -- I just didn't know how.”

Lucky: “Me, too. {He puts his hand to her face} I love you.”

Lizzie: “I love you, too.”

Lucky: {He puts the rings on her finger and then takes her hands} “I want you to know something so you never have to question it. There will never be another girl for me. Never.” {He kisses her hand}

Lizzie: “Do you remember when we first met, and you said your name's Lucky –“

Lucky: “Yeah, and you said, ‘we'll see.’ "

Lizzie: “Well, it turns out I’m the one who's Lucky.“ {They kiss and then there's a knock on the door}

Lucky: “I think we have guests.”

Lizzie: “Well, I suppose we better let them in.”

Lucky: “I suppose we should.” {They open the door to find Emily and Nikolas}

Nikolas: “Sorry we're late. It's my fault.”

Lizzie: “It's no problem.”

Emily: “We have to kind of hurry this up because Mom was telling me how she wants to try to rope grandfather into being Santa Claus for the Christmas holiday party at the hospital. We don't want to miss that.”

Lizzie: “Well, then let's go. Emily, look at what Lucky gave me.” {She holds out her hand}

Emily: “Oh, my gosh, that is so beautiful.”

Lizzie: “I know.” {She looks at Lucky and smiles}

Emily: “Ok. Liz -- you.” {She hands her a present}

Lizzie: “Oh. Thanks.”

Emily: “That's for -- well, someone who has become a very good friend to me in the last year. Thank you and Merry Christmas.”

Lizzie: “Thank you.”

Lucky: “All right, I’m going to help this along a little bit. You want to pass your gifts out? Otherwise, we're going to be here till new year's. Anybody has mushy stuff to say, we can do it in the car on the way to the hospital. You brought your Jag, right?”

Nikolas: “Yeah.”

Lucky: “Yeah? Well, why don't you let me and Elizabeth ride up front for once? I'll drive. That'll cover us for the next year.”

Nikolas: “We'll see.”

Lizzie: “Emily, I love this.”

Emily: “You do? Good! When I saw that, I thought it would be perfect on you -- kind of like a symbol of your recovery.”

Lizzie: “Oh, it is. It's -- it's perfect.”

Emily: “Ok.”

Lucky: “Oh, this obviously is from Emily –“

Lizzie: “No, wait, wait. Before you open that, the two of you have to exchange a gift.”

Emily: “Right. Girl-girl and guy-guy.”

Lucky: “What?”

Nikolas: “You mean there's an order to this?”

Emily: “Always.”

Nikolas: {Looking at Lucky} “You didn't get me anything?”

Lucky: “What, did you get me something?”

Nikolas: “No.”

Lucky: “I got you the same thing. All right.”

Lizzie: “Wait, wait, wait. It just so happens that Lucky did get you something. And –“ {She hands Nikolas a present}

Emily: “And you know what? Nikolas got you something, too.” {She hands Lucky a present}

Lizzie: “What would they do without us?”

Emily: “Well, obviously not get each other anything.”

Lizzie: “Ok. How are we for time?”

Lucky: “Well, if the lights are with us, we should be fine, right?”

Nikolas: “Mm-hmm.”

Lucky: “Excuse me.”

Lizzie: “Mm-hmm.” c box.”

Nikolas: “Yeah, and it plays Strauss' Opus 51.”

Emily: “Is that the music that we danced to at the bacchanalia?”

Nikolas: “Yes.”

Lizzie: “Let me see. Oh, it's beautiful.”

Nikolas: {Walking over to Lucky} “How are the strings, man?”

Lucky: “Oh, very appropriate. It's you.” {Motioning to Nikolas' ELQ cap}

Nikolas: “Oh, yeah. And the best part's going to be the look on my uncle's face when I wear it around the house.”

Lucky: “You wouldn't.”

Nikolas: “Oh, I would. I'm crazy. You guys need help over there?”

Lizzie: “Oh, no, that's ok. We're getting it.”

Lucky: “Nice of you to get that for her.”

Nikolas: “Thanks.”

Lucky: “This is one for the books, huh?”

Nikolas: “What?”

Lucky: “You know, us hanging out on Christmas Eve.”

Nikolas: “Yeah. Well, if you want to get even weirder, you and Elizabeth are welcome to come over to Wyndemere tonight. Laura and Lesley Lu are there. I invited them over for dinner.”

Lucky: (they both turn to look at Elizabeth and Emily.) Thanks, but I got plans for a smaller celebration.”

Nikolas: “Yeah. Can't say I blame you.”

Lizzie: “Ok, you guys, I think that's it. Now, go on. Go get on the bed.”

Lucky: “All right.”

Lizzie: “Come on, help me set this up. Just swipe everything off the bed. Ok, are you ready?”

Emily: “All right.”

Lizzie: “Come on, get real close.”

Lucky: “All right. Easy.”

Emily: “Sorry.”

Lizzie: “Get close, close, close. Ok, ready?”

Lucky: “Yeah.”

Lizzie: “All right. Ready or not, here I come.” {She runs and jumps on the bed}

Nikolas: “Hurry up.”

Lucky: {The gang gets off the elevator at the hospital} “Excuse me, do you know where the party is?”

Nurse: “It's in the boardroom.”

Lucky: “Boardroom.”

Luke: {Seeing them} “Hi.”

Lizzie: “Merry Christmas, Mr. Spencer.”

Luke: “You, too, Elizabeth. Emily.” {He ignores Nikolas, who shrugs it off}

Emily: “Hi.”

Luke: “You got a minute?”

Nikolas: “We'll save your place.”

Lucky: “Thanks.” {They walk off}

Luke: “I just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and tell you I love you. And I’d also like to wish you and Elizabeth all the best in the New Year.”

Lucky: “Sounds like you're taking off again.”

Luke: “Give yourself a cigar.”

Lucky: “Well, can't say I’m surprised, the way things have been going lately. Coming back this time?”

Luke: “I don't know. Probably. You know me -- I keep turning up like a bad penny. Keep an eye on your sister.” {They shake hands}

Lucky: “I will. And Mom.”
